You need to add that line, then in NTune or the standard driver panel you have to create a profile for EQ2 and set that profile to override in-game settings and force AA and AF

This is the full write-up for the AA feature in EQ2 while using an Nvidia card:Click Start, and select Run. type 'notepad' (no quotes) and press enter
Type this line in the notepad window that opens:
r_aa_blit 1
Then go to File, select "Save As..." Change the Save as type to All Files *.* Change the File Name to eq2.ini Now at the top where it says "Save In:" click the drop down box and navigate to your EverQuest II folder, by default it is located at: C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest II Click Save.
Nvidia Display Adapter Driver setup:
Adjust Anti-Aliasing: Right-click on the Nvidia settings icon in your Windows System Tray and choose "Performance and Quality Settings" Choose "Antialiasing Settings" Uncheck "Application controlled" Check "Off (no Anti-Aliasing)" or the setting you want EverQuest II using.

Adjust Anisotropic Filtering: Right-click on the Nvidia settings icon in your Windows System Tray and choose "Performance and Quality Settings" Choose "Anisotropic Filtering" Uncheck "Application controlled" Check "Off" or the setting you want EverQuest II using.

Let us know if you have further trouble after trying the above.
