Pushed on through the thirties, now at level 49 and feeling a bit stuck. I've been doing some quests in SS, as well as those D.I.R.T.Y quests for fun an decent exp. I am pretty well geared, but not amazing (MC armor, and some lucky drops). Sta line is done (as per recomended by posters on this forum), working on Wisdown (up to 4-4-2 so far in Wisdom) and most of the time I duo with a decked out Swashy (we have no real difficulty taking down ^^^ Single Heroics)

My question is: Is the SS where I should be questing? It may sound silly, but I have only recently realized the significance of quests for Exp. I was in EQ1 for 7 years and so used to (and frankly enjoy) the exp-grind that I never did quests.

do the quests at and near the SS docks. Go to maj'dul and get the quests there. Pillars of flames will have some more quests to do.

If you haven't done this already I recommend doing the steamfont mountians quests before you get to much higher lvl but it maybe to late. If not to late just turn off the adven exp and do all you can for the aa's. Steamfont is very generous in aa exp and adven exp isn't to bad, but that zone will move aa's faster there for some reason. Great zone and possibly my favorite at that lvl.

Sinking sands is good area for a lvl 50 toon too. Around lvl 55 you could head up to tenebrous tangle and do the basket quests there. Nice aa exp and adven exp as well. Court of innovation is a nice instance to run for xp as well.

At your lvl would be a great time to jump in some groups if you possibly can and do what ever quests you have and just burn through them. I think at the fifties is where grouping takes presidence over soloing, but that is just my opinion.

There are internet sites that will allow a heroic and solo timelines if you would like to look at those. Eq2wiki would be a great place to start.

Questing is what makes this game the bomb. I enjoy having a goal that I can achieve and get some loot in the process.

Thanks for the information

I zoned into Pillars of Flame and started some quests there - went back to steamfont and cleared out 6 or so quick quests and got 3 AA's out of it. Right now I'm kind of going back-and-forth between Lfay quests and PoF.

Thanks again
