About 8 months ago I betrayed my 80 zerker to guardian for raiding applications. I posted about it in fact the day that I did it. I have to tell you tho that I really miss the attitude of a zerker, so much so that I have rolled a new one and with the new experience change it has been leveling extremely fast. Of course the first 26 points went down stamina to buckler spec, and I group with guardians, SK's, and good scouts that just boggle about how I just plow thru mobs like they are nothing more than cotton fields and I am the tractor. The reason I decided to do this anyways was because my wife is leveling a dirge, which we are short on in the guild, and I thought that this had to be the fastest way to play a toon her level and get us up there as fast as possible. Don't get me wrong. I know the problems with the berserker class at end game. I know what it feels like to be denied groups/raids because of my class. I know what it feels like to have to be better geared than other tanks to lead groups into tougher zones. But on the other hand, I do have to tell you. Leveling a berserker is more fun than I could have ever remembered. I really do hope that the new expansion will bring back the heyday of the berserker, or at least remnants of it. In fact if all goes well, I will have both an 80 guard and 80 zerker to choose SITUATIONALLY which to tank our raids with. Dev's, please be kind to the end game zerkers, and be just as kind to the guards. But if I had to choose again, I will be very honest...................&$%*& EM, NERF DA GUARDS AND GIMME BACK MY ZERKER!!!

as you can probably tell, it's pretty dead in here.

Well, it seems to have gotten a little more active. I got that zerker up to 35 before the expansion released, and thanks to all you beta zerkers with very good write-ups of the situation. I have decided to delete my new zerker after all, because I spent the first day of the expansion betraying my guardian back to where it should be. The ones who weathered that storm you have my respect. I don't know how you did it. I am not a hardcore raider by any means, and staying a berserker thru that was really hard to fight thru geared off of heroic mobs. Thanks again for all the good info that was supplied, and Vic, I may be gettin ahold of ya in game to find out some stuff on Oasis. Enjoy this expansion all, here's hoping the glory days are back again for good.

it wasn't as bad as i imagined it would have been, the guards were too comfortable in their place and needed a kick in the pants to see how far behind the other tanks were. now it's more about what player has the most skill instead of who has a bigger shield given to them at character creation.
