So um, er.How is this going to affect those of us that saw a new item in claim and /claimed it, equipped it, used it, and placed it in our houses?

I personally hope that it is just left alone( I have already implemented into my decorating scheme). An early Frostfell gift perhaps? Side note: I wish the previous years Fan Faire Cloak could be mounted.

My opinion is that they let everyone keep it. Not everyone has the cash to spend on going to the FanFaire. You elitists shouldn't get everything!!!/shakes fistI'm just playin'

Hell, I didn't go, I claimed it and quite frankly, if SOE wants it they can have it....And I don't think that's beer it's stained with

Unfortunately the cat is out of the bag on the cloak. Just let it go and give the Fan Faire folks something else that's cool and unique.

Taylinn@Everfrost wrote:
/sighFine then charge my acct $2.99 and let me keep it.
More like $89.00, and yes there where people that paid that just for the cloak... why I don't know but thats how much people paid for to get a ticket to Fan Faire and get the Cloak(only All Access Players are supposed to get it). Also scence it's not big deal that someone gets something they don't deserve... I guess you wouldn't mind if they started handing out Mythicals to every player. Or everyone got every piece of LoN loot from the loot cards, or that everyone gets the Live Event all the live event items eventhought they didn't do the quest.::EDIT::To the person that wanted to see it...If you Wear it:If you Mount it:

For some reason I seem to have a 'limited edition' red version (either that or some crummy graphics error). But regardless, it was an oops and if SoE want to remove it from people they can, or they can leave those who already claimed with the item, or unlock for everybody. But in the end the only loss is a small amount of exclusivity for those did attend Fan Faire, nobody claiming the item who didn't attend Fan Faire has caused it to disappear from somebody who did, there is an infinate number of these available (well as many as the servers can hold before the hamster dies). It honestly isn't worth getting your knickers in a twist.

I don't know yet what's going to happen with this. They're currently looking into the cause of the flagging. When I know more, I'll let you all know.

Earned or not, if they take it away it's going to [Removed for Content] a lot of people off. Many don't even know what it's for, I had to look it up on the internet when I saw it.

Hell, they can jsut leave it and consider it the Living Legacy reward they promised loyal customers to which we still have never seen. It fits perfectly actually; a dirty, crap- stained cloak for all your loyalty to us and a pretty fae drake pet to those who were not.

Weren't people who went to Fan Faire saying it was claimable on only one of their characters when it was supposed to be claimable on all? I thought a dev responded and said that was correct and they'd look into fixing it. I'd say if they did, in trying to enable it on all characters for those accounts they accidentally did it for all characters on ALL accounts.

I went to FF this year and I was kinda shocked at how the cloak looked. I have last year's FF cloak and IMO it looks amazing and I was expecting something more in line with that. I do like the option of putting it in my house though and the clicky to check out the FF photos option.

In all honesty probably most folks would agree with that.

I am not sure why folks are trying to justify an item that wasn't ment for them in the first place. I claimed it I admit but I thought it was in relation to something else that I am involved with and well found out later that's not the case. If I "loose" the item once it all get's fixed I won't complain because it was never mine to being with. THE only "complaining" I will do is related to the LL where we still didn't see our "reward" for being "Loyal" customers.... Yea I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Yeah that was sorta my attempt at sarcasm; sorry that it was lost. I have been with SOE going on nine years and have never missed a month, so yeah the LL thing sorta ticked me off too. Also the reward for us was worded in just a way that it means we probably wont see anything at all. Our reward is we got new players back to group with; whoopee. Thats if they even stuck around after the free months were over.

I agree that if we arent supposed to have it then we shouldnt have it. Yes people will get mad if it gets removed, but you know what? They'll get over it. Just so long as there's an in-game message posted explaining why it's been removed most people will be good natured about it, I'm sure there's a whole bunch of people who dont even know they have it, and if they're so petty that they threaten to cancel their subscription over it well it'll be the same people complaining that they should get to keep it and the same people who whine about equipment or exploit fixes when devs fix something that wasnt ever intended because losing that exploit inconveniences them or makes them less uber.

I, for one, was extreamly happy when i saw the cloak, as myself and my guild runs a serverwide rp bar. not all of us have the brew day cloak and this one is rather fitting as our guild name is Can You Beer Me Now. i'd be really upset because the entire guild has claimed and is wearing them... its kind of a staple for us, and even our patrons ccome in wearing them in support! theres even one hangin in the bar. if you're going to take them away, it would upset alot of people, and more so, it seems those who did get them from fanfaire, aren't too pleased with them... so IMO i say just let those who want them or have already claimed them keep them... i'd be very sad if you we're all to take them away. and i know i'm not the only one... or at least make them tradable... *shrug*

Yeah, thats good logic.SoE has a track record of taking away exploits when they find them, this would be the same thing... they just need to communicate why... something the fail at almost every time.
