<p>First must I say - HOLY CRAPSecond I must say - NO"XP required to level up to 70 for each lvl has been <strong>significantly decreased</strong>" - Ohnoez....."PvP XP gain has been reduced <strong>slightly</strong>" - woot?uhm A + B = WAY less pvp kills per lvl....I am here simply to ask that you at least make the lvl 70 pvp gear you  put in the game ATTAINABLE - i've been working my @ss off trying to get my gear (im about half way there and im lvl 65 now.. did some lvling not just pure pvp) seems by doing that I have screwed myself because i've analyzed a few kills I got today and found this out.I get about .75 % per kill and about 1% per writ turn in.It requires 1080 kills MINIMUM to get the 216 total writs required finished (assuming within those 5 kills per writ you  NEVER finish the 5 kills be4 you finish the required classes)now .75*1080 = 810% XP + the 1% per writ = 810 + 216 = 1026% XP So.. assuming you get ABSOLUTELY ZERO XP other than from pvp kills between the leves of 60 and 69 it is still IMPOSSIBLE to collect your entire gear set. Please spare me the arguements here of:</p><ul><li>Just move to 80 nub</li><li>Who needs lvl 70 gear, the RoK stuff ROXORS</li><li>This is a great change because it will encourage [item or reason here]</li></ul><p>Those opinions of this change are not going to change the fact that some people just might want to have their gear at 70 and MIGHT just think their set gear is better than most RoK stuff until lv 80.. etc etcPLEASE SOE give us a faster way to get our lvl 70 gear or PLEASE reduce pvp XP by a more substantial amount.P.S.Stop trying to bypass the profanity filter.  If it's filtered, don't use the word.  Don't try to work around it.  And don't draw attention to the fact that you're working around it, as that only brings on the wrath of the Admin.  Thanks!!  -- Kiara</p>

<p>Yah thats why I left the pvp servers, SOE screwed em up awhile back and never bothered to fix em.  still hasn't... they just want everyone lvl 1-20 in kunark and then rush to end game... journey in between is pointless in there eyes and it doesn't help when most mid-range quests, items and zones are all pretty useless and not fun.</p>

If lockers gain more xp now than they did before soe reduced pvp xp then SOE should cut pvp xp some more. The new players will level  fast enough that lockers should be less of a problem now.

<p>Yea, I really dont' understand why we can't ENJOY a game anymore, gotta be sooo super fast to the end to experience the new content.... my guess is SOE is thinking this --MMOs have become alot more mainstream.... and not so hardcore.. ppl want to finish a game in less than 50 hours of play. Most expansions are easier to do when it focuses on endgame soo.... if they get you to endgame REALLY fast, your more likely to want the expansion..my question is... why can't SOE just actually take pvp servers into account when they make all these dumb @ss changes. /sighBTW - STill need to fix the pvp XP problem... lowering it a drop didn't outweight the amount UP all the XP went as a whole.P.S. Stop trying to bypass the profanity filter.  If it's filtered, don't use the word.  Don't try to work around it.  And don't draw attention to the fact that you're working around it, as that only brings on the wrath of the Admin.  Thanks!!  -- Kiara</p>

Exactly, its impossible to to enjoy a lot of pvp and still enjoy the pve part of the game. If you just pvp you will level so fast you cant check out the zones, instances or even raids in the lower tiers. But if you dont pvp and just do the pve you hardly get and pvp time in at all. Why are there lower tier raid zones when no one can do them because they lvl so fast to end-game?

Couldnt /agree more. The most fun I have had in the last month and half or so back, was finally getting the hang of the game a bit, and playing a locked toon from 10 on.I have gotten to really check out areas that I outleveled on my other characters, find all sorts of cool named mobs I never knew about, actually complete some of my quests before they grey out, AND have some fun pvping. I log in after patch, and literally DING, and get half a level (25) from 1 (ONE) Disco..........Its incredibly discouraging, because by FAR the most fun I have had in game so far, was in really taking my time and building this character right/running through all the low level content that I didnt get to experience while leveling 4 other characters through these tiers...My desire to log in has dropped tremendously.. because the playstyle I have been enjoying so much, is basically no longer viable... Im basically looking at having to completely re-equip my toon now after just a few hours of play at this rate as well as lose my XP-AA ratio. It was really unimpressive already.... even though I locked from level 10, doing nothing but quests/name killing: at lvl 22, I had 26 AA, after 2 levels off PVPing (about 15 kills..lol), and super XP patch (which by the way, with xp locked - leveled me twice after 2 disco's and a few quest turn ins), Im now back to an even ratio... sad ;(Enjoy the race to 80 all.. I hope its worth it.

<p>Let's look at the bigger picture...</p><p> simply put this game is what? 4 years old now?  The vast majority of new content that will be coming out from this point forward will be end game content.  SoE has done a decent job of creating new zones or starter zones of late, but let's be realistic they can't keep doing that.  The level cap will continue to rise probably every other expansion.  That being said, even veterans of the game will not want to "grind" once more when they create a new race for an expansion that raises the cap to 85 or 90.  People will just get bored.  Not too mention any new person that plays and learns the game and actually wants to join their friends in "tier 9" will more then likely get frustrated and just give up due to the slow process and their unfamiliarity with the game.</p><p>The biggest thing you must keep in mind is this... The pvp servers are an afterthought.   The increased pvp experience was more than likely done for the bluebies.  Believe it or not, the PvE servers are and will always be EQ2's lifeblood.</p><p>-trix</p>

While they may be an afterthought, like any good business or company they should not be overlooked, things that go to PvE for that life should also be examing and tested or polled to the PvP environment as well, its really NOT all that hard to do and doesn't take much if any extra time to do anyway. They should care about us too, all we can do here is give them ideas and try to tell them what we want, and hopefully once in a blue moon our single pvp dev will be able to implement something helpful. Our pvp dev has a TON of responsibility and not enough people to work with.  Hopefully we can highlight the big problems (like this one and T8 balance(which isn't really THAT hard to fix tbh)).

Sorry for bringing back my semi-old thread.. but rather than making a new thread I thought I would just highlight this again!Uhm... our lvl 70 pvp gear thing needs to be looked at!Its nearly IMPOSSIBLE (see initial post for mathematical evidence) to obtain the lvl 70 set without devoting EVERY drop of XP from 60-70 to pvp (that means no questing, no exploration, no ANYTHING but pvp... this part is going to (hopefully) be fixed in GU 50 with the new locking changes and such, isn't so bad)  Even so, its very very close to an impossiblity and in some cases may be impossible due to non-needed kills or red/oj kills for higher XP.PLEASE give us---<ul><li>Lower token costs for gear to go in line with the amount of tokens you can actually get per level</li><li>Re-instate lvl locking past like lvl 30... or even 50 because the "problem" was in T2 and has been ""fixed"" byt the change and thus no reason or us to be forced to get pvp-xp during the mid 60s.</li><li>Some other idea that would fix the problem that I have not yet thought of or have forgotten to include here.</li></ul>Seriously I worked my tail off to get this gear (just to say I have it) on my main for the past few months,  going out for pvp to get them.... I was about half way done when the change hit ...a nd all the sudden I don't believe I have the XP buffer left to accomodate for the amount of XP I'm getting (this was also severely disrupted by the "intial XP catch-up" you get when you first get some XP ... I got 60% of a level from that......).This highly disturbs me becuase i refuse to play the character right now simply because of the VERY real and likely possiblity of ALL that hard work going down the drain because of this change.~Knee

Token cost for the level 70 gear should be scaled down accordingly.  I agree with you on that completely, otherwise players will get at best 2 pieces, or [Removed for Content] their AP's for a tier's worth of quests.

I jsut want my gear for the sake of a mannequin + wearing it for part of T8./sigh drop the T7 gear price by half IMO.. please SOE, let us get our T7 gear <3!

<p>That would be a great statement if it were true.</p><p>Unfortunately it isn't. </p><p>It's been stated multiple times that in GU #50 the dev team was implementing a way to allow people to manage their exp gain even more precisely and that it couldn't be finished in time for GU #49.</p><p>The reality is, that we try to support all play styles as equally as possible.</p><p>And that will be the final word on this subject.</p><p>Thank you.</p>
