I saw mention of this a few weeks ago, and today as I was downloading the update, I saw another pop up mentioning that it is happening this week, but I can't find any other information on it. Am I just looking in the wrong places? Anyone have any information on this? Thanks!

All I can say is I hope this contest runs for a long amount of time. My guild is still over 100plat short of the 250 we need for the initial purchase of our hall, and since we have several avid decorators and all really want to participate..... I hope there is going to be time to reach our goal in a few weeks to purchase and then have time to do decorating.

No one it seems, knows much about the contest teaser. Could we have a red name weigh in on this and give us some more info?

Not sure if I'm nitpicking, but it speaks of guilds on the waterfront. Is it only for tier 3?

I'm not eligible since I do not do essays. Is this an essay contest or a decorating contest?

From what I read it looks like the contest is for T-3 guilds, it was mentioning that the contest was for halls on the waterfront, as far as I know, only the T-3 halls are on the waterfront. Of course this makes no sense, and I hope I am wrong, but it would not surprise me.

I don't think it's limited to T3 Guild Halls - they are just more noticeable sitting out there on an island away from the dock. But I suppose to be certain, send a PM or something to someone official.

It's both essay and decorating contest. If one or other is not included, the submission is eliminated. That's what it said in the details.

Given that it's a guild hall - why not share the task and have a guildmate write the essay while you do the decor. And no, I can't see why it would simply be t3 halls. It's a guild hall decorating contest & there are 6 guild hall models in the game.

This isn't limited only to T3 guild halls.Someone just liked the phrasing of waterfront property and went with it

My wife and I was really looking forward to this competition and bought a guildhall in NQ. We were going to buy that anyway because of the amenities.

BUT when we read the fineprint of the competition its the same deal as with all the LoN-spam; only for US-residents

What I don't get is, you have a game thats being played around the world, but all your competitions are for US-residents only? It even states that its the winners own responsibility to pay taxes and whatever of the prize, so I don't see the problem in including other countries?

Kind regardsThuja and Flaxer NoxBefallen

First off I will say love the guild halls and like the idea of a contest and i am really looking forward to it.However, using only 3 pictures to show off the 10 room tier 2 guild hall is way short I can only imagine what someone who decorates 25 rooms in a tier 3 guild hall feels like. Probably to late now but my suggestion would be use the 3 pictures as a qualifing round and take an actual tour of the finalist. Just a ThoughtThanks,

As always, there are legal issues involved in contests that preclude SOE from opening it up. It isn't a deliberate attempt to exclude anyone. As to the three screenshots feedback... I didn't make up the contest, folks. I'll pass along the feedback for next time around, though

These competitions always seem so much fun, and I would love to participate.Either way, I suppose I am still looking forward to seeing what other people have done with their halls.
