View Full Version : Shield Ally is a must. But when?
So, I'm clear that Shield Ally is a must, one of our most powerful buffs, no doubt. Since I'm not quite 80 yet (Okay, I'm 40), I was wondering if outside raids, in PUGs, at lower levels, it's worth those 24 points in the AGI line, when I might put them into Blessings or Compliances for a little more buck.In-game a higer templar told me about having 40% base avoidance before even thinking about going for SA at all, but looking at my current gear (Treasured, not marvelous, not crap either) and seeing I've got 11% base avoidance, it seems rather unlikely that I'll reach 40% before getting real gear at around 70 or so.Any tips?

I would not focus on SA until you are in the mid to upper 60s dependant on your gear. However it is a must in all but soloing in the 70s. You can get a mirror made which will allow you to respec to SA or another configure depending on what you are doing.

Thanks for your reply! I will focus on Blessings, Compliances, and INT until the moment drives by.
I was wondering... Can I see SA in parses? I could run my own tests if so. Off hand I could think of having the tank run with and then without SA and compare avoidance reports, but maybe there's a better way?

Shield Ally is recordable in ACT and similar parsers, just view them by right clicking the tank and choosing "avoidance report".First run through RE2 as a Templar, SA avoided 11% of attacks and Unyielding Benediction stone skinned 12% of attacks. 23% is really awsome considering I can boost SA even more through food and drink and several Mastercrafted armor parts and jewelery.Inhumanus Nex80 TemplarNektulous server
