Hello everybody,

I have been scanning this board while leveling up my Swashy and have done well with all your help. Now at lvl 66 I'm wondering what equipment/weapons I will be able to get playing mostly solo ( 95% ish).

I have read about all the cool stuff others have gotten, but those are group and raid gear so I have no real hope to get any of that kind of gear and I don't really need it since I won't be raiding and it's rare that I group too.

All my levels so far have been useing MC'd gear and it's served me well, should I even get anything else? Heck, I don't really know what gear to look for and the quested gear I've seen thus far I wouldn't wear

However, all that nice gear is appealing and I would like to get something, and part of the fun of EQ is getting neat gear. So I'll ask you all, What should/can I get at my level and the next few levels ?

Thank you.

Honestly, with soloing, you should be fine with just sticking to MC equipment.

Mastercrafter level 72 armor is an awesome increase in power. The weapons are your normal increase you have seen every 10 levels. But the armor is a big, big increase in damage since it is the first solo available armor with significant +damage stats. What you should do at level 66 is to concentrate on gaining APs to max out at 100 APs when you hit level 70. The gear you gain from anything pre-Kunark will not matter any more once you are using the Kunark quest gear. So head to Kunark as soon as you are able to do the quests there. The equipment from the quests in Kunark + the Master crafted armor and weapons is all you need to make it the rest of the way to level 80.A warning though, the Kunark mobs are a *lot* tougher than the KoS or EoF mobs of the same level.

Just a note, there is faction master crafted armor in RoK that is somewhat superior to the normal variety that you might want to look into as well.

Thanks all for the replies.

I went and took a good look at the Incarn MC'd armor. What is has is a reduced Str Sta and Agi from the Xeno but has a + 3 to both pierce and slash and a + 45 to CA damage. I take it that was the increase in power Rib refered to. I will buy a complete set of MC'd armor and a couple of weapons. The RoK gear you talk about must be the rings and stuff so I will wait and see what the quests bring me.

As of last night I had 81 APs at lvl 67 so getting 100 AP by lvl 70 won't happen, but that's ok.

What I did think about was that since I use my CA's all the time and don't rely on auto attack for damage, that weapon delay and a haste item don't figure in to my gear needs. If you have other ideas please speak up.

I also have set-up my AP's for Fencer/ 1 hand wield and have been happy with it, and had thought that if my situation changed and I started grouping more I would switch to dual wield, but as of now I still don't see grouping as a way to play and with RoK coming up fast ( RoK being mostly solo till the end ) that most likely won't change. It's not that I don't like grouping, I do like group play, I just can't wait for groups to form and some nights I can't commit to the time it takes to form a group and play out. I will not raid, been there done that.

But anyhow,

Thanks for your inputs and I will continue to study the boards in search of helpful info.
