I recently invested 5 points into AGI and INT to gain walk the plank and the INT attack that makes you invis so I can turn mobs, stun them and unleash all my back attacks but im having a problem.

On regular mobs I can do the following. forgive me but I dont know all the attack names so I will try to describe them.

Walk the plank, stun, make me Invis attack, stun while invis backstab, then follow with two regular back/side attacks.

When the mobs are 1 up or more they are turning around before I can land my second stun, thus my setup does not work.

If I put more points into walk the plank will it keep them turned long enough to deliver my invised backstab stun and follow through?

It seems to be lacking just a split second.

Whats happening is not the fact that Walk the Plank is failing, if you read your Cheap Shot (stun) it gains a longer time on the duration of the stun if it lands on a weaker mob. Also when you get enough AA's and you get points enough to fill AGI line up to get Sailwind ( 25% cast speed ) you will notice you can get all your attacks off easier and quicker then before.. And if your of level try running with some Stuppify Poison..

Walk the Plank's duration increases the more points you put into it (I think its 2.8 seconds with 6pts).

Actually I have noticed this problem. I land walk the plank, then cheap shot, then boot dagger. Before I can land the invised backstab stun the mobs are turning back around and I then have to run behind them to land an additional attack.

This is only on 1 Up mobs and higher. Even 1 up non heroics.

The problem seems to lie with the cheap shot duration being effected by higher ranked mobs but perhaps with a higher WTP combined with a full Agility line I could land most of my attacks without having to jump around the mob?

I really really love this setup for soloing but I can't keep it if im limited to even or down non heroics.

You need to spread out your specialty attacks for greater damage and length of stun. At no point should you ever use cheapshot while a mob is facing away from you via WTP. Chaining all of those abilties together as you described wastes about half of the stun time trying to cast more things that stun.

Think of it this way, you have a very limited list of back or flank attacks, only two attacks before level 57, and only one more attack after that. Add bootdagger if you choose the intelligence AP line.

You only have one from stealth attack, but this one also causes a 2.5 second knockdown to get in one, possibly two more positional attacks.

In order to get into the correct position to use one of those attacks, You can Cheap Shot, Walk The Plank, or use stealth to open the fight from behind.

You have one positional attack every 10 seconds ready to be used, and three more every 30 seconds.

Even with only one point in WTP, you can expect to land two positional attacks.

With cheap shot against a ^ mob, you can expect to land one positional. Against normal mobs, two attacks.

You can dive into stealth, and use your from stealth attack inbetween a mob's attacks if timed well. (I do not worry about this, not needed)

Most fights against ^ mobs only last 20-30 seconds. You do not need to worry about recasting anything that has a 30 second or longer timer

So try opening a fight with the from-stealth knockdown attack, 10 second from positional, and a 30 second positional. When it gets up, use WTP and the other two 30 second positionals. Use cheapshot and the 10 second positional again, followed by normal attacks until the mob is dead. That has you doing damage while the mob can not hit you for 2.5 seconds (knockdown) + 2-3 seconds (WTP) + 1-2.5 seconds (stun) = 5-8 seconds. You are also able to get in all your positional attacks, and get the 10-second from back attack twice. There are other even more efficient patterns to use that accomplish similar goals, but this pattern is sufficient. A swashy in normal quested and master-crafted gear should be able to fight 2-3 same level ^ mobs simultaneously. The swashy should be able to wtfpwnd a ^ mob 2-3 levels above the swashy level. Anything without up arrows is yard trash, to be killed as fast as you can click.

Above tips are pretty much full of win. WTP already turns the mob, no need to Cheap Shot them. Save the Cheap Shot for another round of hits.

Also, stealth open is great too, knock the mob down - Lung Bleed. Poke. Cheap Shot. back attack x2. WTP. Boot Dagger with Charge. Mob dead, never touched you ... lol.

=)

Bleh, sry bout necro - must remember to look at dates..lol
