I apologize if this issue has been addressed -- I did a search and couldn't come up with anything that answered my questions.

I am guild leader and founder of a guild. I recently transfered by /testcopy two of my toons over to the testcopy server. I was told that as leader and founder the guild tags would follow with the toon. They haven't. I logged onto my toon this morning and while I can see <> under my toon name, there is no guild title between those brackets, nor does it appear that I'm in a guild when I press U.

I want to be able to use the test butler on the docks and see what we can expect for guild halls -- along with suss out any potential bugs and help that way. And if that butler on the docks isn't for doing that kind of thing, is it only for established guilds on test?

Sorry for all the questions. Just a little confused and would appreciate any help/feedback.

In my experience the guild takes longer to show up. But it will! I'm thinking 24+ hours is what it took.

Ah thanks very much! I'll check in later tonight and if not tomorrow, too.

I just hope I didn't screw up the guild hall option by hailing the guy on the docks too early.

If so I can just delete the toon that messed up by the early hail and re-copy back to test right?

Delete everything then we can start over copying our chars.

Ok it's been almost a week and the guild still hasn't transferred over.

I had initially sent a petition asking for help on this on day one, but they said they offered no support for TEST server and suggested posting here.

Lol .. any suggestions?

I talked to a Gm in game on test the other day and he told me the guilds won't show up till they restart the server so whenever they patch again they should show up for those that just copied over.

So that's why reports of the time delay are so variable? Do they have to do an actually patch, or can they just restart the server every few days? I think it's been over a week since the last patch.

Well I logged on this morning and my guild was there! YAY!

For me, it took a little over 7 days for it to upgrade/inherit.

And yep, sure enough, the toon that I deleted and recopied has two X's after the guild name. Heh. How funny. Silly me.

But yeah, I guess the overall advice is to just be patient -- it can take up to a week for your guild to show up on Test.

Well, that's because a patch went in last night (5139T), with some nice updates (although the forum test update notes have not been posted).

You were able to copy a char and guild over to test copy? ummmm I have searched and searched - what is the command?

/testcopy add

This takes about 24 hours to copy the character, its house, personal vault, and personal bank (not shared bank)

Only if the character is a guild leader will the guild also be copied. And even then, apparently the guild doesn't get copied until the server restarts (like last nights patch).

Don't confuse the Test server with the Testcopy server.

The Test server, although it was stated in the past that there is the possibility that it will be wiped, has to my knowledge, never been wiped. (Although there is the occasional rollback because of nasty bugs that are found, no one minds, that is the function of the server.)

The Testcopy server is a server that will be completely wiped occasionally if I understand what I have read about it in the forum postings referring to it. So don't /testcopy your characters and guild and then expect to play and level there indefinately. You can't in effect transfer to the Testcopy server, you are only making a temporary copy of your characters and guild to help test the new content.

If you want to make a new test character that you plan on playing and leveling up then make the character on the Test server. There is a great community there with helpful people and guilds that you can join.
