NEED HELP!!!!

I just got a brand new laptop and it is running vista and ive downloaded up to EoF via disks on my comp and when i run the updater for a while it was just cancelling itself right after the update started now it just keeps telling me update is complete but i cant click play is just greyed out. Anyone have an idea of whats going on? Thanks.

You will probably want to do the following since you have VISTA.1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Double click on the program launch icon.This should allow you to run your program under Windows Vista.  If you need more support, please feel free to email us back and we'll be more than happy to give you further support.

Well i did that and it hasnt changed anything. It still does the same thing. Any new ideas?

Any new ideas?</blockquote>try uninstalling the current installation then installing the game over but do not take the defaults, install the application in a directory outside of Program Files, then set the compatiblity mode and run as admnistrator. I run all my non-microsoft applications outside of the default Program Files becasue of the was Vista's security model handles the virtual data directories and registry entries for applications loaded into the Program Files directory
