Does anyone else have a problem when trying to stun the enthraller spiders in kylong plains? I use cheap shot on them to stun so I can get some BS's in and while stunned they still mez me. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem.
Well I know that coercers can mez while mez'd.. SOO maybe they can mez while stun too? not sure about illusionest or coercers if that is a normal trait. Me personally i like them and the hunters no need to root them, and i can just lob shots at them.

Well, cheap shot is a bad joke to start with and nothing to be relied upon ever.Secondly, without knowing the skillset they programmed into the Enchanters its hard to tell.Odds are the cheapshot didnt take, or took for minimum duration, and they just cast on you without autofacing. You cant rely on the visuals, I've had big nasties chasing me around with the Paralyze CA visual spinning around thier heads. I've also done cheapshot, positioned and fired only to get the "You must be behind or flanking" message... even tho I was on my screen. I see that alot with the Back only bowshot... you get the message that you can't use it, THEN you see the mob turn.I think the combat calcs just run faster than the graphics engine does.

I know for a fact that a coercer can Mez while stunned, stifled or mezed. If they cant do anything and there only spell/CA is a mez then they will use it.

I think its great they can do that it makes life interesting, and its always been that way. Something you might not know is that if you have a ward on and they mez you any damage that gets soaked by the ward will NOT break the mez

All mobs "cheat" talk to druids about being backstabed by mobs rooted 20' away infront of them. Sadly its a case of write ground breaking ai that allows the mob to fight as well as a player or let them break the rules to use abilities so they have a chance.

I love the Mezz locking with enchanter mobs Many classes get abilities that can be used while mezzed/stunned/stifled. Mobs use these same abilities and follow the same rules as the players. There are mobs that can cast cures, heals, mez, and DD AoE's while mezzed.

Are mobs supposed to follow all the same rules as players? Then why don't they get falling damage when they chase you over a cliff, (and you do)?And why do their dots stay active after you kill them, (and yours are removed when you die)?... just... something to think about...~ Cerilynn

Playing a coercer, it can be quite a bit of fun doing the whole mez duel routine. I was playing a newbie coercer a few days ago (she's in her 20's, I think) and I was trying to get a pet of some enchanter skeleton for some reason that I know forget. It ended up being a mez duel.. he'd mesmerise her, she'd mez him back, he'd mez her again... and no resists, so it kept going till the mob seemed to run out of power.I was very glad there was no pathers. ^^But yeah... a coercer will mez when stunned/stiffled/mez. Sort of interesting, but can be surprising the first few times.

The only online game I have ever played where enemies actually followed more or less the same rules as players was Guild Wars and in that case only boss monsters really broke the rules.
