View Full Version : guild website and forum issues
Hi,I really hope someone can help me here...I created a guild website on the eq2players website with an alt, I couldn't give my main or any of my other alts permissions as their names dont appear in the drop down menu (prolly because its the same account) as others in the guild on different accounts do appear.I clicked the wrong character to start with my bad, i should have gone with my main, I couldn't set up a forum, just keeps saying ' The guild forums you are looking for could not be found'the alt that created the website has left the guild and been deleted anyway, yet he still appears as though hes in the guild and has a login option for the website...How the hell do i get rid of him from the login option and transfer or give permissions to my main if they are on the same accounts ?I have used search to find a solution to this problem aswell as the knowledge database but nothing...Thanks in advance

The EQ2Players forum is, whether by design or just because there isn't any other presence here, a user-to-user support forum. SoE employees don't come here, and when they do, they don't come with solutions. Believe me, we sympathize with your problem and your frustration, but it's also a little offensive to come into a forum and demand an answer, too. The reason no one's answered because there isn't many people here, and those who are left, can't help you. I can't offer you an answer either, which is why I haven't said anything either. But let me offer this - maybe save you from wasting time here.

The problem you are having is with SoE's underlying applications and accounting. Read the forum, the problem your having isn't unusual, and doesn't have a solution that you can apply without technical support from Sony...

But Customer Support doesn't live here.

From http://help.station.sony.com/cgi-bi...p?p_faqid=10404:

Our Technical Support staff is available Monday - Friday, from 10:00am - 7:00pm PST. Complaining about it here is pointless - you're preaching to the choir, we players know it doesn't work. And SoE knows it too, since we've told them. Over and over and over. The threads of complaints actually go back farther than 2007 - the forum got purged in the big EQ2Players upgrade back in Feb of that year.

Granted, not that you'll have any luck with Level 1 & 2 support on the phone, you are going to have to call at a time that isn't convenient for anyone who holds a normal workday job, you are going to be on hold for an obscene amount of time, and you are going to have to explain your problem to someone who has a bunch of script cards and doesn't understand what you are talking about... but you might have a chance. Here, your chances of resolution are exactly zero.

It's OK to be annoyed. You are entitled to a working service. All the people paying for the Advanced Services are. The problem have existed since the game came out, and no end is in sight. But you're going to need to get a (alledgedly - I'm not sure most of them can pass a Turing Test) human being on the phone and very politely but firmly press your case up the support tiers. That doesn't happen here.

The day our guild was formed, I put a few bits on our EQ2 guild website, just to get it started. Half the things didn't work so I left it until it worked properly and I could fix it. That was March 2007 and nothing has changed, so don't hold your breath.
Hi, thanks for the replies1, Not sure I was demanding anything, I had/have a problem with the website and forum functions which I pay extra each month to use, I followed the technical support routes and I came here.2, I have made a petition about it, that was nearly a week ago.3, Thanks for letting me know no one from SoE comes here to help with problems.I think its fraud, paying for something that doesnt work and hasnt worked for over a year ! (they should'nt even still be advertising the extras if they know there is an ongoing major issue with it)how many car companies would be allowed to keep selling cars that had major design issues resulting in complete failure of the car shortly after purchase !!!But thanks for the replies, I suppose it helps alittle...

I suppose it time to cancel access to the EQ2player stuff if it not going to be utilized as promised.
