5 Year veteran reward?

<p>Is there any news on a 5 year veteran reward?</p><p>My main account is only a few weeks short (including all the +90 day bonuses for purchasing expansion packs).</p><p>And , if they give another +90 days with TSO, i would guess a lot of people will hit the 5 year mark.</p><p>So, whats our new toys going to be.</p><p>Dont get me wrong, the previous stuff has been good, especially the vets salescrate and the moppit illusion, but I think its about time us long-term, faithfull subscribers received something more tangible.</p><p>maybe a months free subs at least, or a discount on our next years subs.</p><p>Maybe even a discount on the new expansion (considering a lot of us have paid out £150+ so far for the base game and 4 expansions, while new players get the lot for £40)</p>

I don't see them giving us anything that will reduce subscription or sale revenue, sorry.  It would be nice though, don't get me wrong.  I liked the sales case a lot since it gave us an edge over the other players and not just some silly illusion.  Maybe an item that granted us 2 bonus AA points when TSO came out to put on the new tree.  Not game breaking, not revenue depleeting, and still something to get us excited over.  win/win/win.

I vote for a 60% mount. Five years is a looooooooong time. Paid monthly subs and bought each and every expansion and ad pack? That comes out to alot of money. The five year reward should reflect this.

Perhaps a 60 slot Veterans sales case that moves about your house like a pet, with a 60% haste buff! It woudl be cool to see that sucker come tearing down the hall at you.Of course, it would be also be handy if it scanned the buyers wallet and if they have more money, it automatically sells them your items until they are broke. Based on the current trend I would think it might be a permanent quadruple experience potion.  SOE is convinced that all their 1-70 content is total crap and want every last alt to get to that awe inspiring T8 content.

I dont want another baby dragon, as suggested by someone on the item message board for new fun items I think getting a pet "Mini-me" of yourself like from the Xygoz fight or better yet a choice of one of the dragons from VP would be really cool as house pets or sokokar type pets that follow you.

I would say go with something universal. Extra character slots would be wasted on those of us that havn't even used up more then 3. A new mount would be great, unless your a bard like myself. I would love to see some kinda of illusion, upgrade sales crate, aa exp potions, free lvl70 toon, few extra aa's.My fav would bea  free lvl70 toon.

<p>Hmm it's hard to say exactly what the 5 year veteran reward should be.  </p><p>I really like the idea of 1 extra character slot since i'm full right now and it would boost me to 15 characters.  However that maybe reaching the "maximum" alotment of characters per account so to speak hard to say. </p><p>A second veteran merchant case would be nice, but I would ask if it could be bumped up to 50-60 items since there are rare salesman's crates that can sell 60-68 items.  </p><p>Another option imho would be like a previous poster stated give an LoN loot card, but have it be something like a 1 time use Duplication card that can only be used on 3 toons instead of all of your toons.  The duplication card can work in 1 of two ways where you can choose any LoN card you wish or use it on a loot card you have or already have redeemed.  If you use it on an item you've redeemed then you can get 2 of that item, but it goes to your character's reward selection.  </p><p>One idea would be a special "Rare" AA mirror that can only be claimed on 3 characters instead of all of them.  The AA mirror allows you to store up to 3-4 AA configurations.  The mirror could work like the merchant sales system where there's 3-4 slots and in each slot you store the Sub-Class/Class specific AA lines of your choice.  </p><p>My final idea is a combination where you can get an AA Dispenser, and a choice of 2 rare painting either EQ1 or EQ2.  The AA dispenser will basically work like the LoN food cart in that it gives you a choice of one of the 2 AA cards, but you can only get the cards once every week.  It will still keep AAs meaningful and you could store them up.  The cards would only have 1 charge on them though so they weren't overpowered. </p>

Instant level 70.. you're virtually getting that anyway. Experience potions, obsolete. Pets, mounts., etc. would just be more of the same. An extra character slot is the best idea, as they level so quickly I'm running out of space to make new ones. A 60slot veteran's display case would also be good, as lots more money is needed to equip all these characters that are levelling so quickly.

I know to most people 15 bucks is pennies and they'd rather have some meaningless in game item but I'd rather have a free month than anything.Illusions, pets, various kinds of xp potions, another character slot.... eh, no thanks. That is all lame. The vet display case is cool. The fireworks are ok... nice for using when someone levels up or something. The xp potions used to be pretty pwn... House items are ok but not pets. FFS no more pets in my house.

Ugh.</blockquote><p>Well you could bypass it where you claim a card that in turn gives you the ability to choose 1 loot item from LoN.  Don't have to enter the game, don't have to redeem it in the game and you can stay on your character to get it.  </p><p>Personally to me the LoN item card has merrit because there are alot of items in there that look great, but they are so hard to get.  Another problem is since they are hard to get they create imbalance + inflation. </p><p>Seen some people with insane demands for some loot items wanting 10-30 booster backs and at $3-$4 per 1 that's a heck of alot of money.  It's also a heck of alot of plat as well cause you could buy them from the merchant, but at 7-12plat a pop that's over 100plat.  </p><p>You could bring down the market so to speak by making the item somewhat "Tradeable".  Talk to a friend have them convert the card into an "LoN loot card" and then trade it to a friend.  This really brings down the market forcing prices into a more reasonable medium. </p><p>As another idea for the veteran reward you could choose to have 1 of any house or world event item that has been or is currently in EQ2.  Now you can't take the item and claim it saying "I WANT MY MYTHICAL", but you could claim any house item past or present in the game *Baby Dragon hint*.  World Event *There are some great world events that have gone on and I wouldn't mind claiming 1 of those items on my toons.  </p>

I realize that people associate SOE with all the Playstation games, other MMO's and of course the largest electronics developer in the world. However, EQ2 has a budget of its own. If its not making ends meet for itself; it can't just dip in to another division's bank account for a little supplementing.Lets say there are 25,000 5 year vets out there. $15 x 25,000 = $375,000. I personally wouldn't mind seeing a LoN Loot Card as a reward.As an Iksar, and avid roleplayer, I want, no NEED, to have the Sathirian Cloak. Currently there's only one way for me to get that, and that's by opening every single booster pack that drops for me in game and hoping to get lucky enough to find that particular card. You can't trade cards until you purchase a booster pack (or at least you couldn't last time I tried) and I refuse, so I'll never be able to trade with other players for it. Even if I could however, most people want several booster packs, which could contain the card I want anyway, so you can see where this is going.The only other possible way I could get this item (which really does nothing for me, it's the look I want) would be if they implemented a way to trade individual cards in game. Then I'd probably have a pay a TON on the broker for it, which honestly I think I would just to get that cloak.
