My brother plays a berserker, and I am a scout. We are on PvP, of course, and I've noticed again and again how when engaged he becomes auto locked in combat because of buffs he has cast on himself.
3 of which are:

Executioner's Fury (triggers at 50% life and automatically engages any pvp encounter) - This is a passive skill and always has effect. It's not toggleable. Is it fair to lock them in combat on an ability they can't even turn off?

Bullying Defense line of skills (triggers on hit .. 20% chance). This buff is toggleable, but so many other buffs that do return damage or similar effects DO NOT activate PvP, including the imbued mastercrafted stuff or barbed adornments. Is this correct that they should not be able to have this buff up with the fear that they might AUTO engage a PvP encounter?

Adrenaline (if cast before engaging ANY PvP) will also lock the zerker into combat with anyone that engages him.

This seriously needs to be looked into and it's a serious disadvantage for this class.

And if this is the way it was intended to be, well that's just crazy. Any feedback on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

actually none of the above are what is causing it, it is a reactive from the riposte AA from stamina 4. equip a tower shield while running and not fighting and you will magically not auto engage anymore, i know it's lame that we have to do it but that's how it goes.

procing berzerk or our hp regen or taunting defense will also put you into combat. pretty much as a zerker you have to run around with no buffs on if you dont want to be pulled into combat. I suggest just practicing your solo/duo pvp strats. Its easier and safer than trying to roll with no buffs. If you get caught by a group gettin pulled into combat wont really effect the outcome of the situation unless your real slow on the evac. However when jumped by a solo or even possibly a duo i can pull out a win. (not as often vs 2, but 1v1 i can usually own face)

Are sorcerer's allowed to use Mana Shield before engaging and after being hit does it automatically engage them? I have never played one so I can't say for sure, but if MS is activateable before combat and protect the sorcerer from any engaging strikes without locking them in combat, then it should be no different for adrenaline. I know I can use my 12 second parry move before being hit and it will not engage me, though, it will still parry any incoming melee based attacks. And as for the Bullying Defense line, is there any official word that this was the way it was intended to be? In my opinion this buff should work just like any others. It does not start activating in PvP until you decide to engage them in said battle. This should really be changed.
