I was wondering out of the new GFX cards if ATi or NVidia is holding a great performance advantage over the other. (No flaming either of them please)I have been running with the crimson tide for many years now. I had a 9800Pro, X850XT PE, X1950XTX and I had just got a HD4870 1GB but it had a problem with its fan so I just sent it back for a RMA and was considering getting a GTX 260 216 or GTX 280 instead. If NVidia is performing alot better then ATi cards in the game.I know EQ2 officially supports NVidia, but I also know alot of companies do that and there game still ends up running better on the competitors hardware.The HD4870 1GB with EVERYTHING maxed except having AA and AF on I was getting 40-50 FPS in Neriak with low spikes from 15-20. Raiding in hate was not comfortable dropping to 8-10 FPS during fights with the same settings and high quality models set to 6.Since you will probably ask here is the rest of my setup.E6600 Core 2 Duo @ 3.2Ghz on water4 GB of Geil Evo One DDR2 800 @ 890 3-3-3-12OCZ GameXStream 700W PSUWD Raptor 150 GB HDD
