I jsut started redecorating 2 of my 3 hours, the other day....After seeing what's coming in the next patch, i've halted my upgrades, waiting on the patch, because i'm just starting over from ground one anyway. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Anyone else starting over? <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<p>I will enlarge a couple items in my house, and maybe shrink some of those huge Orc paintings. Otherwise, my library will remain the same: Neatly organized across 3 Large Oak Tables (bookshelves suck) and the rest of my house will remain the same.</p>

<p>I was fully ready to "Pack my house" and start over .. and looking forward to doing that until...</p><p>My friend picked up one of her AA mirrors that she used for decoration.. as soon as she did that it became Lore and would not let her put it down again.  She couldnt even escape so that it was like she never touched it.. 8(</p><p>Sooo.. if you have AA mirrors set up in a nice display that you can live with, dont Pack your house 8(</p>

I'm a casual player that really rarely does anything with more than 2 other people...I have no need for a respec mirror, the purchases one with the same look is fine with me. <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I have 2 that need to be re decorated anyways as so much lovely items have come into the game.  They havent been touched since just after T6 carpenter recipe's were introduced...  lolBut I do feel bad about all the other 5 rooms that I have JUST done in the last 3 months...  *grumbles*

I am not sure.. I quite like my house(s) the way they are now. I can see some changes lurking around the corner though - like maybe resizing some chairs to match better and things like that.

I will be wanting to redo the lofts that I JUST did, lol.  I'll also be redoing Thliene's underwater house, but otherwise I'm not too sure yet.  Some tweaking to sizes for some items in most places I'm sure, but I won't be rushing out to repack everything quite yet <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

While most books will remain the same for me I might shrink to fit a few or grow so I can click them easily.</span>

I had just packed up my whole house I think I will just put everything still in the moving crate into the room in the basement so I don't have to pay status and wait for the update to finish it.

I actually planned to re-do my house yesterday, but I did my afternoon tea in front of this forum and went EEERRRRK!  heheI haven't touched my house since being back, after being gone a year.  I finally got lvl 80 carpenter and all my RoK receipes, which is what I was waiting for in re-decorating.  I still have yet to sort my books from those that count and those that don't.  So this re-do of my house is a big undertaking for me.  I am really excited to be getting some couches.

Most of the houses that I do are on commission, so no plans to redo those. As for my personal ones, I finally like the way they are now, and if I have learned anything from the past it is if you like something don't tweak it, you never can get it back to exactly like it was before you started tweaking. I am really looking forward to the sizing changes in my future commissioned houses though. This sizing thing will really change decorating in Norrath enormously.

I am holding off on doing my Fae's house till this goes thru. I want her to have a Fae size fishtank among other things.

As a carpenter, I know just how valuable and useful bookshelves can be. They're just not useful for me. I enjoy having 270+ books neatly organized across open tables. Even with scaling furniture now, I don't care to rearrange a ton of bookshelves and books just to fit every last design and style into one.

I'm planning on taking advantage of the scaling to redo my platforms and room dividers. I can get my landings and lofts properly covered, and get things to fit in my shelves. The pillows will get smaller and some display items will get larger. All the fae stuff will be shrunk. But on the whole I don't think I'll be repacking, jsut Tweaking and finally getting to those things i couldnt get the way I wanted in the first place.

I will redecorate but not start over. I just tried out the sizing options on the test server. The first thing I did turned out to be a major disappointment. Problem is, it is working as intended and wouldn't be a problem at all if I had been trying to resize anything but those lovely grass planters.I had forgotten the planter would grow in height as I changed the length and width, trying to cover the whole dang dirt patch in the attic with one planter. LOL. I grew the planter to be big enough. However it was then taller than my high elf and I would need a ladder to get on top of it. It wasn't quite the look I was hoping for, to come up the stairs and see a huge rectangular bolder in the middle of the room blocking my view of everything else. But the aviak bath scaled down to bathtub size very nicely. Now more QE2 docked in my EQ2 attic.

For me it won't be a matter of packing and restarting I'd say. More just finally finishing off. I was going to make an effort towards finally finishing off my home but thought with scaling furniture size on the horizon I will probabaly wait till then.

I've been meaning to redo several houses I've been working on for months now. However, I've been holding off due to this change (well, that, and the fact that I'm working on leveling a carpenter so I no longer have to commission items from others). I will most definitely be packing up my house and redoing it when this change goes into effect. I just may be able to decorate my basement and flesh out my garden, since my kitchen and second floor will no longer take up most of my item count!

<p>The only thing that make me happy if that we are going to find much more Sathirian Ornamental rug on the broker as most of the people are going to only use one to make another stage <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

<p>I have 3 houses I've not decorated at all while waiting for these changes.</p><p>Of the houses I have already decorated... Training Room (Suyin's house) will receive minor changes. Some of the carpets for the loft and the dividers will be enlarged to take up less housing slots. They currently eat up about 100 slots in all. I'm fairly confident that I can cut that number in half at least. Otherwise, Training Room won't change at all. it'll have the same layout and design features.</p><p>Olivine's "well of spirits" will receive minor modification to shrink the ebon sconce in the center. Everything else is staying the same. In fact, all my alts homes will receive nothing more than minor modifications designed to save on housing furniture slots but will keep essentially the same looks.</p><p>Sapphirius's manor, however, is getting completely revamped from top to bottom. I'll keep some of the features that I like best (like her bathroom screenwall and her bedroom), but everything else is getting redone, including the partitions (of which the rough linen portraits <i>STILL</i> aren't fixed. They should have black frames on the back, not red.). She'll be investing in those new couches and chairs, which will match her piano, and her library is getting redone. I cringe at reshelving that many books, but the end result should be totally worth it.</p><p>I've also gotten two requests from other people's houses I've done to revamp those with these new changes.</p>

<p>I spent the night on the test server testing the changes I will make to my house. I found out some interesting things. You can resize the sales crates. This is so nice. You can turn them into little boxes that aren't half so ugly. You can resize your pets. I turned my cat into a kitten and then a Siberian tiger.Picking up the item and placing it in your inventory does <b>not</b> reset the item to its default size. I don't know if items even have a default size anymore. It would be nice if they did and we could reset to that instantly if we don't like what we've accomplished.Using alt with shift and the wheel does give you more minute size adjustments. If you use the escape key after resizing, the resizing remains with the object, but the object will be placed where it had been before you began. This can sometimes be helpful.</p><p>Of course you can resize statues. I resized the talking statue of the queen and set her to work behind my sales counter.</p><p>Pictures look good enlarged even if you don't get any more detail.  I had used every picture I could get in the game and still had duplicates on my walls.  Now I can reduce the item count by enlarging pictures.  </p><p>You can resize crafting equipment.  </p>

The 4 houses I've completed will just be getting minor tweaks for now, since I have other projects I want to do, including 2 commissions and possibly helping out with a guild hall. I've pretty much put decorating on hold until LU49 goes live.

I have a few minor tweaks I want to do for my own house, but I have 3 commissions that have been waiting for the changesto go live for me to finish them.

<span style="color: #666699;">I spent too long on my house to just completely redo it, although there's a few things that'll change hehehe <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></span> <span style="color: #666699;">Especially lofts and rugs and whatnot..hmm, I might have to just start over on some of the rooms lol</span>

<span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sand;">I'll be tweaking things here and there in the Spider and Ossuary to take advantage, clear a few item slots, but that's about it.  I do look forward to putting the feature through it's paces with a couple of future projects I have in mind...</span></span>
