So, with Guild starting to clear VP every week, and SoH up to Maestro with the rest on farm..I am starting to really think about what I should add in my different items as adorms. This is what I have so far.Jewels..In my neck I have +DPSEar I guess only INT is worth it ????Rings I have put in 100 HP ????Wrist + ca ????Bow I also hvae +DPSArmor..Head ???? (Not got a THE head slot item yet, but still very interested in what to put in)Cloak I have +Mana regainBreast +Stats I guess would be the right ????Shoulders ????Legs ????Forearms ????Hands +Spell power would prolly be the right choice here ????Feet ????Weapons I have the vampiric damage proc already.Anyone who can help me out completing the list or make some corrections on what I should use instead ?This is the number 1 wishlist, so does'nt matter if its a fabled, legendary or Treasured, if its right I want it

When I played my Necro as my main gear / adornment choices wasn't much of an issue. Weapons I went with crit on one and vampric on other. Seems to work for me, ymmv.

O

I added haste to my belt already But thanks for the input, its pretty much as I was thinking, just not 100 % sure it was the right ones to take

On the subject of DPS mod, getting the neck and bow DPS mod adorns is a good idea. Don't forget the temporary adornments though, specifically the Danak Regimental Oilstones. If you dual wield (and you should) you can adorn both weapons for an extra 30 DPS mod. (You have to take off your secondary weapon and adorn it in a bag, then re-equip it.)It's not some thing I'd bother with for instances, but for raids it really helps out.

Yea I already do this, only I use MC or DA for it instead of dps (Depending on the group I'm in)Would DPS mod be better to use you think ?

My quick back of the envelope calculations: if you normally did 1000 DPS base autoattack damage, 6% melee crit would give you 500 more DPS 6% of the time, or another 30 DPS. If you instead used the oilstones to get another 30 DPS mod, that would give you another 30% base damage, or another 300 DPS.I may well be wrong, someone with a better understanding of the game mechanics can correct me.

Unless you are near 130 dps mod, +dps adorns will be better than everything else.

The exact numbers in Scarry's calculation are not correct, but the thought of it is. I really don't feel like doing the exact calculation, as it's not that straight forward and can only be done with examples as e.g. the weapon used, and stats with and without adorns/buffs matter.

But suffice it to say that:- a melee crit is 1.3 times your actual hit, with a min value of the weapon's upper end +1 and a max value of (obviously) weapon's upper end * 1.3, so the weapon and its damage spread will matter- dps mod is on a curve, so +30 dps won't be 30% flat, +200 dps mod (which is the cap currently) equals +125%, so your total dps mod will have an impact on how much of a benefit an extra 30 dps mod has
