The other day, in TD, a GM was giving away parrot illusions with glide.

And, for a change, the glide worked on your mount. OMG I want this soooo bad.

I remember when silver lining used to work while mounted and I could jump and not get that disruptive damage noise all the time.

And now as a Dark Elf, I've got float, but not on my mount. So I make sure and buff it before getting the horse out and when I'm jumping off something, say the cliffs in BBM to the TD griff, I cancel the horse and have float. But not always - it randomly cancels and ... I'm dead.

Sooo, since I've been /bugging this randomly cancelling float for months and they seem to not be able to fix it - why not just make float [etc] work on our mounts.

It is soooooooo nice being able to jump off things with your horse and experience the horse jumping.

I still don't get that float ability... why should elfs be able to float?

Dark Elves, High Elves, and Erudites get a float ability due to thier racial affinity to magic.

Just because you're a magician doesn't necissarily mean that your entire race has been practicing magic for countless millenia. For Dark Elves, High Elves, and Erudites, magic comes second nature. Everyone else has to practice and learn it first.

Trisscar@Lucan DLere wrote:
I still don't get that float ability... why should elfs be able to float?
cause dark elfs are a bunch of faeries and faeries can float...
be tough , be hardened, be a barbarian!that's what stuff of life's about!
ps.
