Just curious to know if anybody has tried EQ2 on one of these mini laptops. <div></div><div>They sure are cheap and small enough to carry around for playing EQ2 lunchtimes at Dunkin Donuts or other wifi places !</div><div></div><div>Thanks.</div>

The specs on an Acer One is as follows:<div></div><div>CPU: Intel Atom Processor 1.6Ghz</div><div>GPU/VPU: Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 950</div><div>Memory: 512MB expandable to 1.5GB</div><div>Hard Drive: 8GB solid state</div><div>Display: 1024 x 600 LCD </div><div>Display Type: WSVGA with CrystalBrite TechnologyViewable Screen Size: 8.9"</div><div></div><div>The best part is the size:</div><div>Width: 9.8" 249 mm</div><div>Height: 29 mm 1.14"</div><div></div><div>Would be a fun toy to carry EQ2 anywhere and so I just wanted to know if anybody has tried it.</div><div></div><div>Thanks.</div><div></div><div></div>

Um, first thing I see is a 8gb hard drive. That won't fit RoK. You'd need 10gb min for the installation.

Yep, you're right.<div></div><div>These things are the size of portable DVD players and are becoming very cheap.</div>

You might get it to run on it, but performance would be the pits

EQ2 writes to the hard drive EVERY TIME YOU RUN IT, as evidenced by people using parsing programs for the log files to see how much damage people do in a raid. once the drive reaches its write capacity (varies drive to drive), you will start to notice alot of file read/write errors. not good on a gaming comp.</p><p>also, as previously stated, the intel GMA 950 graphics adapter will NOT work well for the game. you *MAY* get EQ2 to run, but it will be a slide-show at best.</p>
