Ok I've recently come back from a two year haitus from the game and decided to roll a Brigand. I have an old 51 Swash, but don't feel like playing nice this time around. Anyway my question is about AAs. I've been trying to research them on the forums, but am still having difficulty. Anywhere I see things posted in the brigands channel, it seems people only talk about the Rogue line. There is also the Brigand line, is this useless? There seems to be so many trees for so little points. At later levels do you get more than 1 point per level? What is the max AAs you can have? I decided to go down the Str/Agi trees for now. But I still wonder whats going on with the other tab. Also, aren't they going to be adding new trees in the expo? This is getting confusing.

Here's a crash course in Achievement Experience (AA).

AA experience is received from completing quests, discovery locations, & killing named mobs. Repeatable quests, such as adventure writs, only provided AA xp for the initial completion. Heritage item quests provide massive amounts of AA xp, sometimes over half a level in a single completion.

Your AA xp isn't tied to your Adventure xp level. As of 10th level, you can start to gain AA xp from the 10th+ quests. At first, your AA level will be lower than your Adventure level. But if you manage to continue doing blue and green quests, that gap will slowly close and eventually your AA level will surpass your Adventure level.

Up till 69th level, you can have a total of 100 AA levels. Upon hitting 70th, that cap is expanded to 140 AA levels. The upcoming expansion will add an additional tree which will add another 60 AA levels to the base amount. (160 AA and 200 AA)

While some would disagree, the majority of Brigand players would agree that the Rogue AA lines are far more important than the Brigand specific AA lines. Having said this, some of the Brigand line abilities are extremely useful. Though they don't hold the broad application power of the Rogue lines, they tend to upgrade key arts and make them drastically more effective. In the end, the general advice is to mostly fill the Rogue line and then move on to the Brigand line. Once the next expansion comes out, I'm sure that opinions will change.

There are alot of great options in the EoF Brigand AA lines. But before you start putting points into those lines, I would first concentrate on the Rogue tree. The Rogue tree is not clear, cut and dry about where to put your points. Personally, I try to maximize my dps so I have the Agility and Strength lines maxed out with the remainder in the Intelligence tree. If you find yourself tanking for groups the Stamina line is nice. And if you solo alot, the Intelligence line is nice for its Feign Death. In my EoF tree, I have Potency, Tactics and Afflictions maxed out. The only other tree is Defending which is a good addition to have for tanking. But it also has some nice goodies even if you're not a "tanking Brig".
