i'm not the best of number crunchers, but just browsing around the T1-T2 (lvl 10 to 25ish) armors, i've not seen a huge difference in chain and leather.<div></div><div>I've played an assassin up to 62 and i've always gone chain, but in focusing on another scout, i decided to give it a closer look and other then about 5-6 mitigation difference per piece (in general, there are Legendary exceptions, but i can't afford such luxury). so what's the word? should a brigand, and by proxy all scouts perhaps, go with chain or leather? i like the look of leather so far (no s&m puns intended)...but since i can go with chain, and it does technically have a higher mitigation, but does that necessarily mean it's better?</div><div></div><div>another thing i do like, besides the look, is now i don't make that constant clinking noise every time i run around.</div><div></div><div>makes sense too, since i'm supposed to be sneaky.</div>

Use leather when grinding. The stats are similar the mit is pointless and the added sta makes up for it and the price is much much cheaper.

<p>Since I've always used the Str/Agi/Sta MC armor for my Brigand, I had the option of either chain or leather. In the lower levels when I was dirt poor and refused to take advantage of my guild's crafters out of pig headed stupidity, I used the leather version. But somewhere around the 50's, I finally sucked up my pride and asked for help from my guild. After I got a set of chain crafted, I found that there was a noticeable difference in my survivability.</p><p>So to sum things up, it depends on whether you group or solo most of the time. If you're grouping, go with leather since you mitigation value isn't as important. But if you're primarily soloing, go really should go chain since your mitigation value is very important.</p>

i seem to be dropping mobs too quickly to really test out my survivability...<div></div><div>then again, i'm only 17 atm. but using my 62 assassin as a comparison, he seems to go down like a sack of hammers wrapped in chainmail if he doesn't get key CA's off. don't know if brigands have this same sort of problem.</div><div></div><div>at the very least, i have a cool-looking set of leather that i can at least appearence-equip.</div>

<p>If money isnt an option, carry both and macro them.</p><p>I keep my chain for solo or tanking for grp, and my leather for dps in a grp.</p><p>You cant go wrong with either, but solo in leather in higher lvs can be problematic.</p>
