View Full Version : Secondary Heal bonuses

I found an item the other day with my higher level toon. Among other things, it had "+50 spell and heal amount" on it. Now the question is twofold. Does it give a heal bonus to the SK's abilities that lifetap? If yes, does it function on each of the lifetap's hits? Like the DoT lifetaps from Grim Coil and it's upgrades... would each tick give you an extra 50 pts of healing?

<p>That would be cool...but you are asking for something marginally useful for SK's</p><p>... and we all know that is against SOE policy</p><p>Betray to a Pally and you can use the +Heal</p><p>A better question is... since our LifeTaps crit with our Spell Crits ... do + Spell Dmg add to our LT's ???</p><p>But again... it would benefit a SK <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>No it doesn't.</p><p>Spell damage does however does get applied to our lifetaps, that +50 spell damage is divided in two and +25 damage goes to the spell and +25 goes to the Heal portion of the spell. The + Heal is totally ignored.</p><p>Grim coil doesn't have a heal component in the spell as it stands without choosing it in the AA tree, so I don't think it's effected, but I'm kinda guessing on that. Also the way dots are calculated all your spell damage is unloaded when it first hits, thats why grim coil shows you two numbers after you start getting spell damage stuff.</p><p>I think there are more items that just have +spell damage than +spell/+heal so I think we're most likely better off than the pallies on this as SKs are more focused on just that one stat.</p>

I was just reading SKs want to be focusing on tanker related gear to work up the other stats like other tanks are worried over by the time you get up to RoK, anyway... so this whole thing is probably moot.
