Well I think I'm going to come back to EQ 2 for a bit and try and work up two or three separate (box'd) characters. I currently three box in EQ 1 and don't think I can completely give up boxing. Now my main in EQ 1 is a Paly and my main in EQ 2 (only 26, since launch, lol) is a Paly as well. I've searched these forums and it seems the common choice for a two box with a Paly is either:Pal + WarlockPal + WizardNow what would be the difference between the Warlock and Wizard. Which would be more beneficial, if either would be. I am still fairly naive about EQ 2 classes. The common third choice it would seem would be a Fury. What do you all think. Anyone have experience two or three boxing with a Paly that can give me some advice or tips. I'll also throw in there that my wife plays a Paly that I'm catching up to, so we'll probably end up with two Palys often, but I don't want to plan on that. Being addicted to boxing I like to be self sufficient

I just recently started two-boxing my Pally with a Warden I've spec'ed melee. So far it has been a blast. Its not the DPS of a Wiz/lock 2'box, but the survivability is great. I am also not a big fan of casters, so my melee spec'ed warden gives me some decent melee damage with great survivability. Since all of my Warden's spells have been converted in CA's it only takes about a second to fire all three single target ones off rather than whatever the casting timers are on the spell versions. I almost decided to try a wiz/lock 2'box, but I'm glad I didn't.

For paladin + melee priest, I'd probably go Mystic, for 4 reasons:1) Mystic buffs seem better for a paladin (mystics buff stats quite well, and pallies need all 5 stats.)2) Mystics ward, and pallies cast spells. Wards prevent interrupts due to damage, HoTs don't. Druids are a bit more of a "group healer" as well, the other 4 types are better at keeping a single person standing. With paladin-strength aggro glue, you probably won't need the group healing.3) Chain healers seem to be the least common type, while leather ones (mostly furies) seem to be the most common. If you try to get a few more people for a full group, the Warden will be a bigger limit on recruiting a 2nd healer than a mystic would be.4) Wardens heal. A lot. And don't do much else. Their buffs are kinda "meh", They don't debuff anything a paladin cares about, their DPS isn't all that great. As tanks, paladins can heal, their buffs are ok but nothing special for druids vs other priests, they don't debuff anything a druid cares about, and their DPS isn't all that great. Taking two non-synergistic, decent-healing, poor-DPSing characters as a two-box seems a weak choice.I actually do run a pally/templar duo... but at low levels, at least, you'll be fighting over drops all the time since you both wear plate... and templars don't have a melee option. If I had fast enough fingers, Pally/Templar/Illusionist would be just unbelievable, but I think I'd have to grow another pair of arms to play it well. If you are three-boxing Pally/Wiz/healer, then a warden becomes a bit more compelling due to the fire/ice synergy between the warden and the wizard. (Tho mystics debuff elemental as well, and deal quite a bit of cold damage.) Pally/'lock/healer leans towards Mystic again.... And the only real difference between Warden and Fury in the utility department is: Wardens have evac, Furies have group-invis... and Wardens can get a faster SoW through AAs. Both can use druid portal spells. If you've got a wizard, you've got an evac on his spell list, so it's a toss-up between fast + needing invis totems, or slow + not. (Mystics don't evac or invis, but they do get the faster SoW.)
