A few weeks ago there was an Article about the international clients that EQ2 has.One of the things that bugged me about this article is that it was stated that voice content isn't updated when switching from one language to another due to their size.Originally I bought the US EQ2 client as a digital download but these days I exclusively play on the japanese server. It is really annoying to listen to English and be reading Japanese. Now I can go download the SOE Launcher beta and completely download EQ2 onto a computer from scratch. So if I can do that, why can't I download the Japanese voiceovers? Why am I being locked into the US voice overs when I don't play on US servers? How do I get my hands on a Japanese client that also gives me the japanese voiceovers? Is this tied to my account somehow (as it seems to be since not even the SOE Launcher will allow me to download the voice overs I want even if I switch it to Japanese)? If so, how can I get that changed? Thanks!

The voice overs have not been re-recorded in Japanese. They will always be in english no matter which client you use.

Ok, I'll bite. Quoting the article on eq2players.com
Can people with the English-language version of the game play on French, German and Japanese-language servers?
Yes. Using the optional patcher will allow English-speaking players to connect to the French, German, and Japanese-language servers as well. But as stated above, the voiceover data will not be patched into other languages. So English-speaking players on French, German and Japanese-language servers will see all text in French, German or Japanese, but will hear the character voices in English.

Can the same EverQuest II subscription be used to connect to English, French, German and Japanese-language servers?

Yes, you can play on any non-premium server with a single EverQuest II subscription. However, character voices will be heard in the language of the version you purchase.

Link to article:

http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...current&id=1822
That very much looks to me as if there are voices in langauges other than English...

Been there, tried that already...no luck. =(I even went into the regional files and changed the language settings from english to Japanese, which made the patcher re-download almost everything but still no change.
