Hello all, I was just wondering, if I have absolutely 0 intention of playing on the test server -ever- can i safely remove the [testserver] folder from my eq2 directory without causing problems? I could save myself a ton of space just by doing that, seems that all the files in there are dupliates of the eq2 directory anyway. What say you all?

Thanks for the input

If you have an initial installation, the TestServer folder should only have a couple files in it, the executable and a txt file. If you have other stuff in that folder, you can probably remove it and anything that's actually required will just be downloaded back into it.

One caution, though. If you have run the Test Server Launchpad before or are using Station Launcher, you'll want to go into the Test Server screen and uncheck any update settings. For Launchpad, you'll want to log into the Test Server launchpad (Open regular Launchpad, log in, on the screen with the PLAY button, click the tiny Test Server link, log in again, at the PLAY screen, click Preferences and uncheck the update settings.) For Station Launcher, you'll want to click on Options in either the Games or Friends window, and on the left side, click Automatic Updates, and uncheck the EverQuest 2 Test Server there.

Thanks for the response. I did what you suggested, everything worked out good plus it freed up 5-6 GB of space! woohoo! lol
