Is this happening on all characters or just one character? Make sure you try a character that's in another zone, even on another server and let us know what happens.

Hi Shadur,

I have the same problem since last week. All my 3 characters in in different zones and I can't log into any of them and still waiting for help.

Chillwinds

Kithicor

Yup I have been seeing the same thing. But mine has been going on for a couple of months. If I log into character select and I try to go to Druitz. The screen locks then after a minute crashes to desktop. I have been using the autoload feature and just log into another toon immediately. If I want to go to Druitz I /camp Druitz with no further issue. But character select has also pulled it on another toon as well. Sooooo I have avoided using Character select. Odd thing is this was exactly the same thing that was happening to me when I tried to activate the test server long ago. Its why I dont play on test.

Empty your EQ2 cache folder maybe ?
I've been having this same problem. It makes playing eq2 just about impossible. sometimes it lets me in if i repeatedly try to log in like 20 times, but then i end up crashing to desktop as soon as i zone. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling eq2 as well as triple checking my firewall settings (i still have the problem with my firewall turned completely off). i havent tried emptying my cache... how is that done exactly?

Same thing here. It all started for me today. It worked fine on Thursday. I left for the long weekend, tried to get into game in the morning and same problem. Exactly as described.
