Pristine weapons

I bet this question is asked to death.  Using the FAQ above and even some of the tips in this thread: <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=357983" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=357983</a> , I've just not been able to craft even one pristine weapon at WS level 53.Basically the principals of: countering events; get through the process as quicly as possible while keeping the durability as high as possible.I'm just missing some basic concept along the way most likely, but it's just not happening for me.

<p>Do you mean you have not been able to craft a weapon at all or that none of the weapons you craft have the word "pristine" in them?  I am unsure if you are a returning player who hasn't done any crafting for a while.</p><p>Pristine weapons can no longer be crafted, the crafting system has been changed.  You either succeed in crafting a weapon now, or fail and lose some fuel.</p><p>There are still a lot of old style pristine weapons on the broker for sale though.  They tend to have a faster delay but lower DPS than the newer craftable weapons.</p>

It was that I wasn't able to craft pristine weapons and it was throughly confusing me <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I found a few threads here and there, including update 43 where I guess is where pristine went away.  I just couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong lol

LoL i just came back to game as well and it was confusing me as well was like [Removed for Content] is goin on haha came here seen this thread...one question though how are master crafted weapons made now or are they?

All pristine weapon recipes were removed from the game 2 updates ago.You now simply make the weapon. You can then bless or imbue it depending on whether you want heal or spell effects.Mastercrafted works normally. You just don't have "pristine" anywhere in the title of any crafted weapon anymore. Yes, they replaced 1,600 recipes!

You need to obtain and scribe the Advanced recipe book for the weapon you wish to make.To make the current version of "pristine", all you need to do is have some amount of Durability left on the bottom bar. Otherwise you will have your fuel or rare returned to you and you can try again. There aren't any grades less than pristine any more. Also, the old rare recipes that only required success to the first bar are no longer in game. I believe most if not all of the consumables (the ones that produce quantities of items) can be crafted less than pristine for a smaller yield but I haven't done a survey so I hesitate to say this.
