Decided to try this game out again from a few years back and just bought the game and soon as the station launcher goes into scanning I immediatly get an unkown error while updating. I need to download the entire game but can't seem to get it started atm. I turned off the firewall and virus prot and still have the same problem. Sense its an unkown error I can't seem to find a trouble shooting guide to this problem.

Hmmm. It is better if you turn on that firewall, but add the necessary files to the exception list.[EQ2] Firewall and Proxy Information for EverQuest IIAlso, if you are running Vista, you will need to run it as admin....

Do I need to add 200 udp ports 32800-33000? Its only allowing one at a time and I don't remember ever doing this on any game in the past.

I have done everything else on this list and added about 20 of the 32800 ports:

EverQuest II LaunchPad and Patch Servers A TCP connection is initiated to patch.station.sony.com at port 7000. A UDP connection is initiated to port range 3016-3021 and 9700-9703. EverQuest II Patch: A TCP connection is initiated at port 7010. EverQuest II Game Client: UDP connections are initiated from the EverQuest II client on UDP ports 9100, and UDP ports in the range 32800-33000.

thx for the help btw but this is becoming a real pain atm.

Ohh forgot to mention I am using windows XP bought the digital download and not sure if the game is supposed to download from where I purchased it or when i click on the station launcher. Either way I don't have a EQ2 folder atm.
