Sation Launcher freezing

I have been using station launcher for a while now with no problems. I just got a new PC Sunday and installed EQ2, Vanguard, Then station Launcher. The launcher loads. I can log on to friends list. but when i go to play a game it freezes up when the scanning button appears. I have to open task mannager and end task. when I click one of the eq2 icon on the start menu it does the same thing....but when i click the desktop icon the game loads and i can play. I have already went through all the compatability still, admin stuff and the security alowences. i have reinstalled the launcher and the same thing happens.the pc has windows vista home premium sp1 32bit4gb ramamd athlon 64 dual core 6400+ 3.2ghzati 4850

Can you connect directly to the modem if you have a router.  You will also want to power-cycle the modem by unplugging the power for 20-30 seconds.

Nope...same thing, when scaning button lights up nothing happens. when I ckick back to games button it locks up. can still play eq2 trough its launcher.Seems like the EQ2 launcher sometimes works....other times i have to re-boot to get it to work.

Its the same with vanguard....it says preparing files and stops there...then i have to end task.

Are you running the game under Admin?  I know that the regular patcher, you need to right click the patcher and select to run as admin....  not sure about the station launcher.....

Yep...running all under admin..talked to alienware today, they had me reinstall window due to windows updater not working either....reinstalling everything now.
