"There was a problem confirming the checksum for the file C:Program FilesSonyEverQuestIIlp_tempUIDefaultimagesmapsmap_ exp04_city_gorowyn_bottom.dds. Please try again."Is there a simple fix for this issue, or do I have to do this download all over again?

Forgot to mention I'm getting this message from Station Launcher.

Decided to try removing all the files from that folder, and I ended up back with the original error message. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/136dd33cba83140c7ce38db096d05aed.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />

Do you have the newest version of DirectX 9.0c installed? I've talked to a couple of customers this week with that issue when using VISTA. Installing DX cleared it up after installed and rebooted.

I followed the steps in <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=423412>this (link)</a> post and that got it working. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

im having the same trouble now.i decided to buy the game after the trial and started downloading from the station launcher, got to near the end, started scanning then I got this error about the checksum of vioceover6.vpk, i tried deleting the file and restarting the luancher but then it just says it cant find the file. I have followed the steps in the other link and am now using the standalone pather rather than station, it is now installing on top of my trial client instead of its own clients, like station was doing.my question is this, will the patcher install EVERYTHING that station would have installed? like the voiceovers and all the addictional content?this is driving me crazy as i have wasted lots of bandwidth and a day of my 30 free days on this!

You will need to check the PREFERENCES on the Launchpad to make sure it is downloading the voice overs for you. By default they will not download.

I'm trying to install the 14 day trial and I ran into this checksum issue as well, but it is for a different file. I used to be a paying customer and I installed it fine then.char_exp03_c_ape.vpkAnother part of the voice pack? I knew I should've declined that stuff.

I disabled the optional content and the voice packs, but I'm still getting the error. It's something that is downloaded into the lp_temp folder everytime I try to update.

Okay, I got it fixed. I did the same thing Killingsworth says he did. Downloaded this and installed it.<a href="http://everquest2.station.sony.com/install/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://everquest2.station.sony.com/install/</a>
