Assasins may very well be very powerful at later levels in a raid. However, they dont seem particularily easy to solo as you level up. If I get the initiative and all my stealth attacks are ready, I will easily own a single mob in a very short amount of time. There are a few problems areas though as I see so Im looking for advice. I am currently level 21 on my Assasin.

1.) Accidentally pull an additional mob while fighting the current one. I may be able to finish off both but likely will be very low on health afterwards so running seems the best answer as assasin doesnt seeem to have any real crowd control to speak of.

2.) After you kill one mob alot of your best abilities arent ready for second one without waiting. So far waiting has been the only real answer.

Hi Drak

Yeah, the problems your having are the same as all assasins at lower lv, as we have limited CA's to deal with some situations. Later on you'll get a CA which roots the mob, in this case you can back up and then use ranged attacks, while also letting your cheap shot refresh, so you can go back to the mob and backstab again. its these types of things that make a massive difference, especailly if your low on health and get an add.

You'll also get more bow attakcs so a big chunck of health goes off the mob before they even reach you, thats helps soloing to, so you dont always start in stealth, make the most of your bow attacks and leave the big back stabs until the mobs in close.

Our class is never deisgned to handle grps well and that doesnt really change much (im lv 74) so its just something to get used to. Again later on we get two aoe's from stealth, so if the grps dont see invis, you can open with one, CA one to death, then cheap shot and back stab the last mob, something like that.

Yes, the biggest backstabs have longer recast times so they cant be spammed, again mabe look at your sequence of using your CA's when soloing to make the best use, ie start with bow, debuff, cheap shot, back stab, finish off with any CA. Again at later lvs you'l end up with 5 backstabs so you have more options.

My feedback is stick with it, at lv 21 the assasin is great fun but your given much better tools later on which make the class really great and wil go a long way to solving your frustrations, I'm having a blast at lv 74.

Valkas
