This issue is not related to machine or drivers. It is something within EQ2. I have 4 machines and three EQ2 accounts. I regularly run two accounts on one machine. My machines are 2 AMD/ATI rigs and 2 Intel/Nvidia. The three machines I regularly run two accounts on can no longer run EQ2 due to constant crashes to desktop. Even if I only try to run one account, the game crashes to desktop. The 4th machine is a laptop and just too slow to attempt two boxing. Of the 4 computers I own, only the laptop can still play EQ2~ the only one I don't two box on. (First Clue)

On about August 18-23 there was some sort of change to EQ2. I logged in, loaded my utility toons to do some farming and I locked up. From that point forward I started crashing to desktop. I changed computers and went about my business, I was now working on an HQ so I loaded my healer in to help me get through it. EQ2 crashed within a few minutes and was subsequently unable to play because whenever the character select screen started to load, the game would crash.

Now, I already sent a service incident in. It was on Aug 21, 2008. No word back yet. I sent my dxdiag, msinfo etc, but I really doubt the solution will be found by looking at my rigs. They ran for years just fine with these builds and besides, the problem is on different machines with different cores and different vid cards. I am leaning towards there being something wrong with a recent update to EQ2 that made running 2 instances fatal but didn't leave a way to correct it. (Registry Issues?)

Going to go dig around my PC to see if Microsoft updated windows or something during that time period. In the mean time, EQ2 on a touch pad~ yay me!
