Ok here I am again with another one of my million dollar ideas! I think I suggested this years ago but I can't find the post to rez it, heh. What if they brought back the solo instances for all levels 1-80 or have some that just scale to your level, you know the ones in Zek, TS, Nek, Splitpaw. Those fun little solo instances should be brought back in new zones with level scaling. Here it is, the twist ... create the solo instances with some quests tied in and named mobs with decent drops treasured gear and adept 1's etc .. but make it so someone else from the opposing faction can also zone into your instance. I don't even know if they can make this work programming wise, but what if they could make it so a single player instance could allow a single player from another faction to zone in also? There are some mechanics issues to be resolved but could this could work out?Imagine ... you are in your solo instance clearing your way through it and all of sudden you get a message when PvP enters something like "You sense opposition to your success" or some such way to be notified when PvP enters your instance. You then go and dispatch or succumb to your opposition. Fun right? Real Player vs Player. Some limits would be needed, maybe limited to 1 player entering per instance run. Lock-out timers and/or /recent could be used to eliminate exploits etc .. Not sure how all the complications would be solved but I think it could work. If you kill the named or engage in a PvP battle while in the instance you get a lock-out timer. These instances would be nice little 15-30 minute dungeon runs. Do the quest, get the named, some decent loot, get a writ update too! A sense of real Player vs Player!

And then we can get a sphincter brigand who will wait at the door .. and follow every person into the zone ... and kill them repeatedly .

Then when i click on the door to enter i get hit with a list of 120 instances of the zone ...which do i want....

And then ...

Well not really much to say after filling the idea with holes in 2 lines...

I scoff at your "holes", sir. Pfftt ! 1. Lock-out timers. Everyone gets 1 kill per day per instance. Done2. This is a little harder but not much, poor effort. I am glad you demonstrated their potential for popularity. Anyway when you click on the door to the instance the list gets trunc'ed at say 20 people.

And ... I would also like to thank you for choosing Brigand as the lame class. Yes you are correct Brigands are overpowered in 1v1 glad you pointed it out! ... Classic

Anyone else want to take some shots? I was thinking about the lockout timer and 1 day is probably too much, it could just be like 4 hours or something. I would like to see like 10 of these instances, that would amount to 2 writs every 4 hours if you were to go undefeated and ran into the right classes. Also the list of instances/players in them should be anonymous, don't want people picking their targets. In fact you maybe don't even need a list, it would just zone you into one at random, all you know is you are zoning into X instance with another player in it.

I can't think of anything worse for the devs to waste their time on.

I mean really almost no one runs around with a god pet that says "onevsone". I don't really ever hear people complain about being able to find a fair/even fight. Really if you think about it no one would enjoy this. Titles would become totally worthless if people had to fight one vs one battles. Yep, yep.

Exactly my point about titles, my last post was dripping in sarcasm, i'm sure you knew. Really, if I could earn my title in solo instances it might actually mean something to me.

I engage groups of 2-3 on my assassin when the opprotunity presents itself as I did on my ranger. Nothing I like to find more than 2 clothies duoing and near 55%.

Classes are unbalanced, I won't even argue that. Thats great you can engage 2 clothies at near half health fighting a mob and win, Grats on that. But are you seriously trying to argue that 1v1 fights are not sought after? Class issues aside, 1v1 is more fair than 3v1, duh. Obviously there are people out there who are afraid of 1v1 and the only way they can win a battle is 6v1. The instances could be set to allow or not allow PvP to enter as well, If you were a clothie afraid of getting 1v1 ganked LOL.Actually good point! These instances might actually bring to light the class imbalances and we sure don't want that! Keep overpowered classes OP and keep other classes gimped it really makes the PvP game that much better. /sigh *mumbles something about arguing with people on the internet*

This is a cool idea and I'd love to see it in some future game update. Chances of it happening are slim but lets keep hoping. I recognize that classes are grossly imbalanced so if I were playing a clothie and saw that my opponent was a brig with track I'd be feeling useless already. Knowing that all they'd have to do is track me down, wait for me to engage and then drop me like a rock. One plus side, this would attract people who WANTED to pvp. So the "run away" tactic would be encountered less.Lastly, if this ever got implemented it sure as hell better go to pve servers too. Be nice to breath a little life into those zombies.

Sounds good to me... Any sort of PvP at this point on a PvE server would be More then Welcomed to me.. Since it does Drive me nuts that there is Zero PvP on a PvE server.Which I expected but not to this extent, I thought People would at least do arena..

I like it!

Other than in T8 I don't mind taking on any class 1v1.

I think you should be able to choose upon entrance pvp or non pvp. If you choose pvp, it just puts you into a random instance - with a 4 hour lockout timer.
