Game crashes after selecting character

<p>recently i took a break from eq2 for around 2 weeks. when i tried to log back in, the character select screen music started to play after i had selected my character during the loading screen and the game closed without any error messages. it has now been doing this for around 3 days and i cannot get into the game at all. now could anyone tell me if this is a account issue? </p>

If it were an account issue, I'd imagine you wouldn't even hit the character select screen.How many characters, and where does it say they're zoned in at?  My only thought to your account question would be they're zoned into a new area that you don't have access flagged for on your account.  Easily checked by clicking My Account at the top of the forum, follow the sign in stuff and see what's available.Only other thought would be double check your firewall program, and delete eq2 from it, and re-add to the exceptions list.

Might want to be sure that your firewall/router have allowed the game to go through.  Perhaps refresh the firewall exception list as well...

i have all of the expansion packs so its not a zone problem and i have deleted it from my firewall many times and no change still
