Hi everyone and thanks for any help you can offer.

I'm a block head anymore with this stuff - that's why I have computers build for me. Seems that doesn't detract from the stress you may experience when it's not going smoothly. =(

Let's see:

Intel Core 2 quad Q6600 2.4 GhzMonitor is NEC AccuSync LCD9vand the Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT ( nobody seems to be talking about this card =/ )SB Audigy2 SZ Gamer it's a bit olderWindows XP Professional sp3

This machine and all it's compontents accept for the Sb were built only in the last week.

Just reinstalled eQ2 last night ..and it's Black screening a good 45min in. Several different things have happened afterward also.Just before it goes black though - may game windows ...chat, quest helper etc... get this translucent blue color and different colored pixels pop up every where... and it simply freezes. I can still hear sounds from the game once it goes black and Even continued to hear Voice from a guildie once.Like I mentioned - once it goes black... a few things have happened: Green lines running diagonally across the screen / once It actually restarted the machine / and a few times an odd colored pattern has appeared in the Top left... maybe something else too but my brain is cooked atm not being able to find out anything. Nvidia suggested Driver Sweep and reinstall... well it's confusing enough with my making matters worse by crippling the whole system with the wrong Uninstalls. I called SoE tech support and I think I interupted someone who quite frankly seemed Very disinterested in helping at all. Said he'd not heard of my problem or my Video Card as yet. That was today on the 22nd. i'm exhausted and disappointed beyond measure.

My spec on this equipment is not that thorough at all but if you have Any ideas... please offer them. I've gleaned some ideas ...but honestly don't know what to Tell my tech people OR what to ask for. This is absurd.

Thanks

B

Not a hitch. Two minutes in the game on my monk *and that's generous timewise... the Screen tinted over with a shade of red I guess and stipled with pixelation > black screen > reboot.

I went directly to the Even Viewer under My Computer/Manage and cut'n pasted this:

Vanguard=VGClient.log from Event Viewer

The description for Event ID ( 1 ) in Source ( VGClient.log ) cannot be found.
