I am not sure how many saw this, but in the test update notes was:Berserker* Juggernaut and Adrenaline have had their descriptions updated to match how they work while berserk. At least it will now SAY what is correctly

Lol, adding half a year after changing how the spell works a description how the spell works. Just lol.

I haven't read the descriptions on Test yet, but I'm confident that my crusade is finally at an end. It's my fault it took so long. I was barking up the wrong tree. One note containing the same information that had been in 374 posts and threads and PMs and /bugs and /petitions and BAM! Fixed in the very next GU. Yay for Ilucide! I bet if he'd been notified of this in January instead of that other dood it would have been fixed a long time ago. While this would have been a good thing, oddly enough there are some nice things that happened to me as a direct result of continuing to b*tch and moan about Adrenaline. So I guess thanks to that other guy are in order to for ignoring it for 7 months.

nice things like what? like the title implies gnobrin likes to toss bones, but once we run over and grab it we see there's no meat on it and it's been petrified from the years. i dealt with him a few times and he put his positive spin on everything, because it was his job, but we already knew better.

I wouldn't consider this a "bone", just a fix to a description that was either errantly and thoughtlessly written or intended to deceive the player. I'd wager on the former but I wouldn't put anything past that other guy so the latter wouldn't surprise me. It in no way changes the class for better or for worse. And let's leave Gnobrin out of this. Poor guy, what did he do?

A bone was meant in a good way.. its something. Even if its minor, its at least a correction.Does anyone have [Removed for Content] from test yet on this?

Dasan@Najena wrote:
A bone was meant in a good way.. its something. It's something that took 5 minutes to do and should have been done months ago, but it's something.I don't feel like cropping screenshots but the wording in the paragraph above the stats for the abilities has changed as follows:JuggernautBefore: This ability can only be used while berserk. After: This ability can only be activated while berserk but will not suspend if berserk ends before Juggernaut expires. AdrenalineBefore: Adrenaline can only be used while berserk, and when it ends, your power is reduced and you are unable to go berserk for a short while. (I thought *I* was the king of unnecessary commas. Neat.)After: Adrenaline can only be used while berserk, and when it ends, your power is reduced and you are unable to go berserk for a short while. Adrenaline will suspend if the caster is no longer berserk. It will reactivate if the caster becomes berserk again.Changing Juggernaut is wholly unnecessary as the description was accurate before, but more detailed than necessary is better than inaccurate and misleading I guess.

So how exactly is this a good thing......

Adrenaline is an awsome abilty but it has more downsides that nascar car. Bad Gas milage, turns of and wont turn back on, no lights, no ac.....

I mean seriously they could penalize our only realy defensive ability more but then it would just sit on the side of my hotbar like our AOE abilties.

The decription didnt need to be change the effect needed to be changed it is ridiculious to have one of the most Conditional, Power Sucking, Non stone sking defensive abilties in the game only active "if" you are berserk. They can at least make it to where we dont lose power if Beserk isnt active when it ends. Even with Full VP gear the power cost of the abilties are stupid.

It's not really a "bone" or anything, it's just changing the descriptions of the combat arts to be accurate. Nothing has changed as far as mechanics goes, and I am pretty sure that everyone playing a berserker at the high tiers already knows how these abilities work by now.

It's pretty much the equivalent of adding text to the descriptions of all armor pieces, "This armor must actually be worn for its mitigation bonuses to take effect."

Thank God for the documentation team, everyone can enjoy their berserker gameplay now that this has been taken care of.

I knew what it did already, my point being that is was a waste of time fixing the decription. I mean how long as it been wrong.......... IF they were going to take the time to change the abilties description then the could have fixed the abilty all together.

By the description its saying that it should turn back on which would be a fix.

And I never knew that you were unable to go berzerk after it expires. Has this been proven?

Well sure all of us at 80 that have paid attention know how it works. Now new berserkers will too. Now they won't have to go through the "Why am I still taking full damage! The icon is still up and everything! I burned through 80 levels for THIS!?!?!?" disillusionment. It's all out in the open.Obviously I would have preferred that the fix be to make it stay up for the whole duration, but this is confirmation that they MEANT for the ability to only grant the 50% protection when you were still berserk. It just took 9 months to share that tidbit of information with the rest of us. It has definitely reactivated when you go berserk again, victer; that's the same.

I could have swore people were complaining that even if you proced zerk again then it wouldnt take effect if you already lost it. God i really need to stop taking what people say on here..... i need to test it myself (which is what im gonna do when i get home)

But as for the "not being able to go berzerk for a small duration after it expires" that is completely new to me. Did anyone else know about this?

I don't know, I always die when my berserk drops so I'm never alive to test.

i have never noticed adrenaline reactivating... if it does how does that effect the power drain?

Xita wrote:

i have never noticed adrenaline reactivating... if it does how does that effect the power drain?

It doesn't affect the power drain at all. Even if it's only active for a couple seconds, you still take the full power drain. It's easy to not notice it deactivating and reactivating because there's no notification that it's doing so. And the icon stays pleasantly perched in your Spell Effects window the whole time as if to say "Don't worry, little one. I'm still here. Really, I am! You're safe with me."

yes the damage absorption reactivates when you go berserk again, no there is nothing that prevents berserk from being able to activate again except for the gap when zerk drops and it has to proc again to go up or you hit clicky zerk to reactivate it.

With that high mana penalty Adrenaline just should be independent from berserk mode.

Don't know how to imagine. How are the spells designed? By a single person in his lonesome chamber? In a brainstorming round?

Why can't Adrenaline just be independent from berserk mode? Does one person think it would be overpowered then? Do several persons (devs) think so?

Does anybody at all think it would be overpowered then?

PS. The same with that "HP reg". Who the heck is designing such useless³ abilities? Hmkay, it may be more "useful" than without it... but... just replace it by something useful (noticable reg like 3-4 times the amount or by a raidwide melee skills buff or turn it into a damage shield or stone skin: when caster receives damage in combat this spell has a chance to trigger stone skin on caster 1.8 times per minute: absorbs the next incoming damage).
