Starting location for better monk gear?

What starting location will net a better amount of monk oriented gear? im coming back after a year or two of trying not-so-WoW and since there are many new starting locations im sure one has some much more worthwhile gear for a monk. any opinions?? thanks much!ps:  ive noticed some monks with 'glowing hands.'  is this effect granted by fist weapons or something?  its pretty cool.

<p>The glowing hands you refer to are, I *think*, a fun spell you can buy from your trainer around level 50. It's been awhile so I might not be right on the level. </p><p>As for where to start, I think if you want a Monk your choices are kinda limited. You can betray later, of course. I don't know if a Monk can start in Timorous Deep but if so, I'd start there... there are really good quest rewards in TD. Come to think of it, you might be able to start in Kelethin, too. I started in Qeynos and have stayed there because I like it and the expansion for TD had not come out when I was leveling my Monk... otherwise I would have hung my hat in TD.</p>

You can go to TD even if you are good.  You just cant recall or have a house there.  But for 20 levels that doesnt matter so much.  Thats what I did.  However since they did the equipment revamp Im not sure that the rewards there are any better than anywhere else.  Sorry I cant really answer the original question.  I suspect that none of the starting areas have anything really monk specific.  You might look into the post 20 class specific armor quests which should be available in qeynos.
