Why Can't I play?

<p>Alright so here's the history:</p><p>Desktop broke down, had to cancel EQ2 account.</p><p>Got a new laptop yesterday, and just got the account running again.</p><p>Install EQ2 no problem, can bring up the launcher no problem.</p><p>Then, as I'm patching, it suddenly stops and says: Download cancelled.</p><p>Is there anything I can do? Is it my new specs?</p><p>Here are my specs:</p><p>Intel Core 2 Duo processor T5550 (1.83 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache)</p><p>Up to 1791MB NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS TurboCache</p><p>3GB DDR2</p><p>320GB HDD</p><p>If there is anything I can do for you to help me, then just say please. I really want to play!</p>

If you are running with Windows Vista you will want to do the following.1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Double click on the program launch icon.<p>This should allow you to run your program under Windows Vista. </p>

Make sure if you have any firewalls running, you have added [email protected] and everquest2.exe to the allowed lists.  You may also wish to power cycle your modem/router(unplug the power for 30 seconds).

<p>Another problem <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>I finally got it all working, i'm able to create a character and get to the select a character screen.</p><p>BUT, when i want to go into the world, an error arises claiming:</p><p>Cannot create zone, EverQuest 2 has experienced an irreversable error, and my close.</p><p>Anyone got an idea?</p>

<p>Its just an issue of me DLing RoK, I can't get it</p><p>Both my accounts have it activated, but the patcher won't give it to me</p><p>I'm yet to try if EoF works as well</p><p>This really frustrates me though as i have purchased the expansion and can't play it <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>Other than that the game runs smooth as a babies bottom. </p>

I found the activation key, i have it entitled on my Account Info, all i'm missing form it is the actual content on my HDD, how do i get it?

that stinks, the launcher or launchpad should have fixed that.
