View Full Version : Noob Bruiser Q's
Sorry if it's a stupid question, but my whole EQ2 life has been spent on casting classes so I'm still trying to learn the melee aspects. Is there a "best" weapon type? I know you can do the str line, but that just doesn't really appeal to me. I like getting new weapons and stuff. Are the weapons purchaseable with the void tempest cloth things any good? They say fist but also slashing and look like swords, but forgot the exact name. Is using a 2 hander better or worse than dual wielding or is it just a matter of preference? And what about maybe the 1 hand crushing mace from the shadow brutes? Also, do all weapons other than fists make frogloks lose all their cool monk-ly animations? When I equipped the swords from the void tempest vendor, he started to kick and taunt like any other race instead of the awesome stuff. Thanks for any help <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I have used a Bo and a 2 handed Hammer I think, and That is just to Monkish fer me. I use DW stuff. So, go with whatever you like the best.

The swords that you mention are purchased at lvl 5, 15, 25 and so on and they are really good for the lvl and give you a real cool look. The only problem with them is they are slashing skill and alot of us didn't have our slashing skill up. Also expect to pay out more ribbons for each higher lvl upgrade.
