Is there any difference between the apprentice lvl 1 and the Master 2 Tainted sacrament spells? Not sure what the point is to have different lvls if the spell stays the same.

I was hoping that a Master lvl 2 spell would allow me to summon a tougher warrior, maybe a heroic lvl one or it should at least last longer. I would really like it to summon a spell casting mob to help me or a healer.

Dps done by the "better" version is a bit higher. No one knows actual pet stats for AE survival or anything though -- it's essentially a DoT with HP is all, so it can't be possessed to check.

Yup, it's essentially a master 1 dot that can get aoe'd down in one shot or riposite. There is a difference however in spell qualities, and worth upgrading from App 1 .

As a side note anyone remember our floating glob of goo graphic? Or the bird of death? man those were lame essences .

Considering my SK was created on Nov 14, 2004 -- yeah.. I remember. I also remember when the pet actually spoke audibly instead of just in /say -- and groupmates getting really freaked out by it. The there was the fun part where you got your skeleton form as part of the defensive stance and there was no /hide option and that frelling annoying laugh EVERY time you swung your weapon *shudders*

Anyone else have issues where you cast the T8 version and he just stands there instead of swinging away (mine often keeps his sword sheathed and does nuttin)

So the master lvl summons does more damage, that's good to know cuz whenever i read the discriptions they look the same so i've never bothered to upgrade it.

Simply put, the dumbfire dont know how to get to the mob, so instead of running up to them, they just stick to following you around instead.

had this happen lastnight

i was soloing in poa becuase i was bored lol and just felt like laying the smack down on multiple mobs

anyway for fun i had turned auto attack off and was letting my pet kill a mob , befor the first pet died i was casting the next pet, when the next pet appeared it just stood there

i dont know if it was becuase A) i had auto attack off when i summoned it mid fight (shouldnt matter) or B) from casting another pet wyle the first was still active (maybe this was lag)

i didnt realy think about it becuase it only happened that one time where my pet just stood there and i thought it was just a funny glitch from lag , but saw this thread and figured i would add in the exact things happening when pet didnt do anything

on a side note i soloed the lastname in El'Arad , never tried him befor pretty long fight since he regains to 100 % at 20 % ,dropped a bunch of junk lol but still was a first and was a fun fight : ) (oh and he's a paladin so that made it twice as sweet )

Taking a slight tangent here...but I have noticed this on my dumbfire pet with my 65th warlock, so it might be an issue with all dumbfire pets.
