I'm going to give boxing a try. I will most likely start a new monk to go with the healer as I just discovered how cool froglock animations are. Anyway I want the healer that does not require lots of attention to keep me alive. I love the idea of the warden with utility it brings but it seems like the mystics wards would require less spaming than warden heals and debuffs would allow me to take on harder heroic content.

My goal is to have a combo that can farm instances and take on named mobs without having to ping pong back and forth between my two toons every second.

I've never tried 2boxing...but you may have more time on your hands and more options if you get a Mystic.

I duo with a Mystic, VERY good combo especially with the aa options of both.

The Mystic is definitely the easiest to use since you can preward before engaging and debuff the mob if warding/healing is not enough. With the Druids you are forced to spam heals and pray. All three classes have useful buffs for a Monk but the Strength, Stamina, and Hit Point buffs of the Mystic are the most useful for duoing and tanking. As for additional dps the Fury probably can edge a Mystic but you can't discount the Mystic's Stamina debuffs. Dropping a monsters Stamina by 250 or so cuts down significantly on how muchdamage you need to do. Honestly the only situation I've found where I prefer my Warden is if I am in a group with everybody taking damage. I start having trouble keeping up with the Mystic where the Warden or Fury groupregens shine.

Ya so far I've been having good luck with the mystic. Unless if its a hard fight the wards last me the entire fight usually. I must say, it works great!

I dual box a mystic too. Pre ward, hit a button on the G15 to macro a few spells and away you go for non stop (except for a nice cup of tea of course) pulling of most overland RoK encounters

I've 2-boxed with my wife's mystic quite a few times on Najena with great success (also guardian and mystic) Recently rolled a new monk+mystic combo on Nektulos to play with some new friends there and I love it. The buffs are great, and the wards in combination with avoidance tanking is really good. Some of the utility is really good as well, like SoW (can get 40% runspeed with the aa spec, which is great for travelling, plus safe fall for the mystic as well, so you can jump off of cliffs with both chars) The ability to walk and run underwater has proven really useful too. I do mostly questing and exploration with them, and having a blast with it. Haven't tried a Warden yet. My wife plays a Warden so we've duoed a bit, but I have a personal preference towards the Mystic. The Warden also gets SoW, of course.

I have boxed Monk/Fury since I started playing all the way up and into T8 Raid content. I find the duo definatly augments eachother with some of the buffs and some of the utility spells from the fury. That said, I often wonder how it would have been different or better if I had gone with either a mystic or a defiler. I woudnt chose a warden, their heals seemed a little slower even if they healed for more, and would often get me in trouble. If i did it again, i would probably consider a shamen, and just look at which one gave me the better buffs/debuffs for my style of play

Uryuk

Unrest
