When I load up the station launcher it goes to the update. (I'm assuming the update is for this considering thats what im trying to install.) And an error comes up saying,"There was a problem confirming the checksum for the flie C:program files/sonyeverquestIIlp_temppaksexp01_dun_shimmering_cit adel_epic01_bottle_sg.vpk. Please try again. If the problem persists use the help menu above for more information."I've tried uninstalling the launcher and reinstalling and it still does this. Please help.Thanks.

Hmm, I think I just replied to the same question elsewhere, but my suggestion would be to delete the offending file itself in case it is corrupted and restart the patcher.

Hmmm. I found this, perhaps it will help...Confirming Checksum crash on station launcher beta

First off, if you are using Vista, make sure your right click on the icon and select run as administrator. Secondly please delete the offending file and then restart the patcher. This should take care of the issue.

I tried deleting the file and restarting the patcher, but it simply claims that it cannot find the file now.

Do you get the same error running EQ2.exe?

what you want to do is delete the downloadcache in lp_temp, that fixed it for me.

Joester3 wrote:
what you want to do is delete the downloadcache in lp_temp, that fixed it for me.
That worked for me! Thanks!Moderator:I vote for giving sticky status. Might want to close it to additional comments as well, lest the fix get buried in additional comments. Just a thought.

I had the exact same problemTried everything else - nothing worked.FINALLY I deleted "download.cache" file from this directory:C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest IIlp_temp(same as Joester3 did)Launchpad then worked ok.Ps you might need to restore this file from the recycle bin if launchpad plays up again - so make sure not to empty your recycle bin
