I've dug through the search system a bit and found posts dating back to 2006 and 2007, and one pertained to going down the INT line to pick up attack speed and such. This sounded in theory like a good idea, but I wanted to get some general up-to-date input from others who may be playing as a 2H Berserker. I'm currently level 20 right now and have 20 AA points to dump, I've been playing the Buckler spec and enjoying it alot but the sword/board combo doesn't feel very Berserker to me in my mind. Is there anyone who can give me some insight on 2H specs and how I should go about it?

EDIT: Feel free to look for me on Nagafen as well, my character's name is Lucella.

I have no clue of Eq2 PvP, but I'd never give up shield avoidance when fighting others.

This question has been rehashed ad-nauseum on these boards, but cause I'm a nice guy I'll fill you in. Two handers suck for warriors. End of story. The double attack and riposte chance you get from Stamina spec is invaluable. Riposte is the best avoidance you can get cause not only do you not get hit, but you hit the enemy back. Maxing out the riposte and double attack in the Stamina line is your best bang for your buck, followed by crits in the Strength tree, and then the Int line. I know some PvPers have said in the past they like the Wisdom line in PvP, but I don't PvP so I can't speak to that. Two handers are in all ways completely sub-par for warriors unless you can get a hold of some of the best top end fabled ones, and even then if you can get those you're better of with your Mythical and buckler line.

Now, nobody is telling you how to play your class, and if you feel it's worth being sub-par in order to satisfy aesthetics, then more power to you. I'm just informing you of what the best way to go is. Yes, it's pretty cookie cutter, but the reason it is cookie cutter is because it works. It's been hashed, rehashed, parsed out and fully debated on this and other boards lot's of times, and in the end it's been shown time and again that Sta/Str/Int is by far the best spec for a Berserker in 99% of cases.

As mentioned above the STA line is pretty l33t for us zerks. At lvl 20 you definitely wont be seeing any great dps from a 2H. I'd either go with the STA spec and a 1H (3 or 4 sec delay) with a buckler (i find the shield bash to be invaluable in pvp). or if you really dont want to STA spec then i'd go STR 4-4-8 and start on the int line, and dual wield a couple 3 sec - 4 sec delay weaps.I've tried lots of different DW, 2H, and bucklers builds through the lvls and buckler is just all around the best. DW got me slightly better dps than buckler from lvls 20-50/60. 2H'ing got me the best dps in the 60's. Buckler had solid dps and the best survivability 20+. and i dont ever pvp without some sort of shield anymore be it buckler or tower.

You loose your 4 second stun. As a Zerk you must time your Stun, 2 interupts, and stiffle correctly if you wish to take down a healer. You also loose your entire stamina line. A 2 hander double attack double crit is amazing eye candy, but it's not reliable and not worth giving up your 4 second stun and stamina line.

forget the idea of a 2 handed zerker, especially in pvp.

Shield bash + Belly smash = godly in pvp. If you start with the shield bash and belly smash them, then anything thats not another zerker is gonna drop like a sac of potatos. If you time your other stuns and stifles properly you can keep a warden from gettin their heals off and you can drop them too. I've been owning 80 assasins and brigs since I was 74 because of belly smash
