So I just recently picked up this game, and now so is my roomie. He wants to play a warden and I would like to pick a class that would be good as supporting him, as we will be playing together, as well as make us a decent duo. I was thinking of going wizzy but now am not sure, maybe a berserker would be better for tanking while he heals. Any advice as to what would be a good class to choose to make us a decent duo. Thanks.

Before I can give you a good class suggestion, I would need to know what he's doing with this Warden. Though the use of AA (Achievement) points, a Warden can turn their various damaging spells into melee attacks. A melee spec'ed Warden plays much differently than the rooting / nuking style of a traditional Warden.

If the Warden is going hard core melee, then he'll probably be built similar to mine. He'll wear fighter Str / Agi / Sta gear for armor, then pick up some Wisdom through other sources (like weapons, jewelry, & buffs). If he's built this way, he'll play like a quasi-tank. Under this scenario, you'd play a non-tank class. This would probably either an arcane or scout class.

Or if your friend is playing the traditional style which roots a mob still and nukes it from distance, then I'd suggest that you play some kind of class that is capable of tanking. While any of the six fighter classes can fill this role, a rogue (brigand / swashbuckler) can also quasi-tank if their AA points are spent correctly.

Wizard could work for at least some content, but might take some getting used to & certainly different tactics than a tank/priest duo would. Both wardens & wizards get roots and at least warden gets a snare so you could root/nuke some harder content I suppose.

A tank class (or a less squishy class like brigand or swashbuckler) might work out better. That gives you 8 more classes to look at =) (berserker/guardian, monk/bruiser, shadow knight/paladin, brigand/swashbuckler).

You could always duo a second priest as well of a different type (like one of the plate priests or a chain priest). Mystics/wardens/inquisitors can all spec to be melee oriented instead of spell casting for damage and each brings stuff to the table. A fury, defiler or templar would have to nuke (and of those 3 defilers and templars do the least damage, fury can be practically a healing wizard).

Bottom line is that you can duo with any 2 classes up to a point. So pick ones that you will enjoy.
