Question...I used to run an integrated ATI x200, on a 17inch monitor...I forget the exact resolution, but it was not widescreen just a standard box...I could EQ2 on it with the integrated card on "Balanced"Now I have a 19inch wide monitor with 1440x900, and I cannot run EQ2 at all.I replaced the gfx card with an 8600GT, and it runs EQ2 on 1440x900 on "Balanced" (could probably go higher but balanced runs smoothest everywhere)...however now I get lockup's and freezes that require rebootsAll Drivers are Current. Is this having to do with the 1440x900 resolution? and is there a way to fix this without getting an entirely new monitor? as in...can I somehow make the wide screen monitor only display what a 17inch would, and then lower the resolution to hopefully avoid these lock ups?Windowed mode does not appear to stop the lock ups either....or increase performance. (So long is it is still trying to display other things at 1440x900 I imagine)

What's your desktop resolution set at?As for monitor, is it an LCD?  They're designed to be a specific resolution, and get mad when you try to change it.Also maybe try running lower quality graphics just to test. What's the rest of the components?  CPU, RAM, What windows version?

Before the inevitableI also Deleted and Reinstalled DirectX 9.0c and the latest update, because this happens with -all- 3d applications no matter the graphic stressload. To Describe what I see in detail...the entire screen does not shift colors, rather it turns into tight rows of blocks, not big blocky screw ups, but the entire screen rows out as if it was the matrix <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Sound loop gets caught and keeps studdering very fast.It requires a complete hard reboot, just shutting it down manually to resolve.
