Graphics appearing much darker than normal and missing UI parts

All of my graphics are appearing much darker than they normally should and all the boxes for the UI (option menus, etc) are completely black, without borders. I have done a full file scan and was playing yesterday and Friday with no real problems.  This did not start until today, the first time I restarted my computer since I installed EQ2.

Not quite sure about the darkness in game, however you may have hit F10 by accident.  This will give you black outlines around your UI parts.  Hit F10 again to take all the UI off the screen (many use this to take screenies). Then hit F10 once more to gain your normal UI back....  I hope that this is the case...Perhaps you should post your DxDiag for the techies to see if your system can handle the game....
