So I've been having a nightmare since last night trying to come back to this game. My friends moved to another server and I'm trying to get to them. But I can't because Server Transfer is broken. It has charged me $100 so far and not trnasfered my character. Says it did not bill me but it did I can't afford to keep trying if it is going to bill me every time. And I'd really like to play with my friends this weekend. Anyone able to help me?

your TRACKING NUMBER is: 279582Your order has been completed, but we encountered an error during the process. Please review the information below in order to determine the nature of the issue.Game: EverQuest IICharacter: OnesimusServer Name: ButcherblockFAILED TO RENAME CHARACTER: DraagunFAILED TO MOVE TO SERVER: Najena(With Items)REASON: Service Violation (please review) or Generic Fail (may work later)TRANSACTIONS REQUESTEDTOTAL RENAMES: 1TOTAL SERVER-TO-SERVER MOVES WITH ITEMS: 1TRANSACTIONS BILLEDSUBTOTAL FOR ALL TRANSACTIONS BILLED: $0.00TAX FOR ALL TRANSACTIONS BILLED: $0.00VAT TAX FOR ALL TRANSACTIONS BILLED: $0.00DISCOUNTS FOR ALL TRANSACTIONS BILLED: $0.00TOTAL AMOUNT BILLED: $0.00FAILED TO RENAME CHARACTER: DraagunFAILED TO MOVE TO SERVER: Najena(With Items)REASON: Service Violation (please review) or Generic Fail (may work later)

I am in the same boat, my wife and I tried to transfer our charchters. We had the same issue we tried various things we even quit the old guild...etc..etc.

But as per the email we though no charges, but low and behold our card is maxed out with SOE athorizations for transfers?

Are you sure you got charged for the failed attempt?

Also, make sure you don't have any mail in your mailbox, including the spam thing, dlete it all. Take all items and containers off of the broker. May want to check your room vault as well. I had it mess up once till I emptied it.

Those are the main problems with transfers that I know of, I tried 5 times before I got transferred and I only got charged for one move once it was successful.

Same with us, when we check we see the are multiple SOE athorizations. All for $55.39 (Canadian exchange rate)

We called and we where told the athorizations stick until the atho is dropped by SOE, or 30 days expire.

Almost 50% of the time a transfer fails its because there's an item(usually a box) still on the broker. Here's absolutely everything you need to do when transferring between servers:-Clear everything off the broker (This includes the coins in every slot and the boxes)-Clear out your shared bank (Includes coins/boxes as well)-Delete all the mail in your in box (In-game mail of course)-Repair all of your armorIt's also possible that the billing failed for some reason or there's already a character with the desired name on the destination server. Account to account character transfers also require that the first/last names and birthdates on the 2 accounts are the same.As for the charge, most banks will set the money aside after any failed transaction. They usually hold the money off to the side for 2-4 business days before returning it to the card. Let us know if the charge sticks around after a week or so but I'm almost positive that you're seeing a held charge.
