Hi Guys

I think I dont understand how the daze part of this CA works, can you help me?

1. When soloing I use this to stop the mobs auto attacks, but is it breaking as soon as I hit the mob with my mace? ie its a waste of time solo?

2. Same thing with group play, I use it to stop the MT taking damage from auto attacks, but if players are hitting the mob, it breaks?

So it got me thinking, does this CA have only one really good use, to be cast on a 2nd mob in a group while beating on the first one, so the daze isnt broken?

Korgin

IIRC only the AE-Detaunt-Daze breaks if the mob is attacked, the single target daze doesn't break if the mob is hit.

I believe Cold Metal is confused as to which ability you're asking about, as his answer is incorrect for a Daze effect. The Templar's Daze spell prevents autoattacks, and never breaks early. The Templar's Stun spell prevents all attacks and movement, and never breaks early. The Templar's AGI-AA-line mesmerization attack prevents all attacks and movement, and breaks as soon as the target takes any damage. An effect described as "mesmerize" always breaks on damage. Other effects only break on damage or hostile action if they say they do in the description of the effect, with a few exceptions (some root spells and all charm spells (and maybe some fear spells?) get periodic chances to break regardless of what you're doing to the mob.) So, your stun and daze spells are useful soloing tools. The stun moreso; use it when you've just about got a healer mob finished off to keep him from healing back up.

I think there is a bug with sign, i have noticed this daze spell that has no mention of chance to break, will cast the spell, the recast timer ticks away, but the spell icon on mob or my spell window dont show up and mob is still attacking, this is on basic beasts in jarsath that i have landed it on before, just random when it does it.

You should probably find an instance of that happening in your log file and post it here (and file a /bug in game) so it gets on the Devs' radar. Note, though, that a mob can still attack while dazed; it will just be limited to its combat arts, spells, and other similar attacks. Daze only stops melee/ranged autoattacks.
