Graphics issue with ATI 3870X2 since LU47

Since the last game update, I've been having an issue with the graphics in EQ2 where the screen is so dark that the only things I can see are, basically, text and very bright light sources. This happens during all stages of the game from as soon as I hit play until I quit the game in disgust- I don't see any load screens, character creation is just as dark as the regular game- everything. I can occasionally see outlines of characters if they're well lit or standing next to a bright light source, but that's it. Everything else, including game windows, is just black. Only since the last update, mind you; it worked just fine before that. Found a solution to the problem (for ATI cards anyway):Open the Catalyst Control Center, make sure it's on Advanced view. Under Graphics Settings select "3D", and then More Settings. If the box that says "Support DXT texture formats" is unchecked, check it and hit Apply. If it is checked, as it was in my case, uncheck it, hit apply, then recheck it and hit apply again. EQ2 should then load normally- it did for me anyway.

<p>Same here but the changes did not work.    It is not near as good a Vid card but was doing well before the patch.    I had to boost the ambient light to the max levels to even see during the night.   During the day I can see now, but still not as bright as before even with the adjusted settings.</p><p>Also the lag is REALLY bad now.   I was normally able to box 3 accounts on the same computer with around 20 FPS.   Now I have to go full screen and only 1 account.   I get just 17 now.   Did the chat system add that much overhead??   I love being able to use 3 accounts, but now I cannot even run 2 without the lag being so bad.    I do not want to cancel the other 2 accounts, but if I cannot box them I really do not need them as all my crafters and my raiders are on the same account =(</p>
